It’s been a year since the first solo visit to Japan in 2017. Liam Gallagher returned to Japan for a full-scale Japan tour. The live album will be released as a gift.
Included in this work is the performance of “September 13, 2018: Nippon Budokan”. It is the best audience recording. First, let’s check the position of the show from the date when it became the first solo tour.

Above, all 4 performances. The performance at Nippon Budokan was a highlight concert on the first day. This work is a live album that completely recorded the night. It’s an audience recording that was released online, and it’s ridiculously wonderful. Although the venue sound is slightly picked up, the straight and thick core and the fine details are similar to those recorded on the sound board. The sound of the venue does not cause cloudiness or turbidity at all, and only the naked core is brilliantly colored. Without degrading the sound quality at all, only the sense of scale that Liam’s singing voice reaches every corner of the venue is deliciously produced. It’s like a sound board, but it’s richer than a sound board, and it’s too good for an audience … It’s a sample of such a great recording.
Liam’s enthusiastic performance, which has built up a solid style as a solo singer, is drawn with its exquisite quality. Basically, the configuration is based on last year’s “SONIC MANIA / SUMMER SONIC OSAKA” … I thought it wasn’t. The opening that is skipped by “Rock’n’ Roll Star” and “Morning Glory” and the beginning of folding with 4 consecutive shots from “AS YOU WERE” are common, but the rest has changed. Songs that weren’t played last year are released one after another, and most of them are OASIS numbers! To enumerate a little … “Some Might Say” “Champagne Supernova” “Whatever” “Supersonic” “Cigarettes & Alcohol”. In addition, famous songs that could not be heard in 2017, such as BEADY EYE’s “Soul Love” and solo “I’ve All I Need”, are bundled together and rushed to the stage.
Liam singing such a set is also in great shape! It seems that Liam himself wasn’t convinced in Osaka, but I can’t feel that kind of play at Nippon Budokan. The opening with a thick singing voice roaring wildly, “Wall Of Glass” singing with a bang, “For What It’s Worth” with a wonderful singalong, “Champagne Supernova” with only the piano in the background, high notes “Supersonic”, etc., which was decided wonderfully … Vocalization, which is rarely seen even in recent years, is fully open. You can fully enjoy the enthusiasm that gives you confidence as a solo singer.
Liam became independent as a solo singer with the great success of the album “AS YOU WERE” and the subsequent world tour. It is said that the 2nd solo album will be completed as early as this year, and the spirit is burning. It is a masterpiece of a live album that vacuum-packs an octagonal space filled with enthusiasm and fulfillment. “2018” is a new chapter and a leap year. A piece that symbolizes the year and is suitable for biting the “now”. Please take this opportunity to fully enjoy it.
