Eric Clapton’s Japan Tour 2023, which ended with a great success after completing all six performances. We will release the best sound source of the 5th day performance on the press board! The 2CDR “Budokan 2023 Day 5”, which was pleased with the super-fast release, also had high sound quality, but if it was released on a press CD, I would definitely like to release a special ultra-high-quality board. Therefore, it will be the master of this work, but it is a completely original master, and of course it is different from the master of “Budokan 2023 Day 5”. The recording seat is a great position called Arena A5 block. The clear and powerful musical tones heard in the center of the arena are revived. I affirm in this work. This day was a performance that was held consecutively on the day after April 21, when Clapton’s “100th Budokan Memorial Performance” was held. Since the performances on the 2nd and 3rd days of the previous day were also consecutive performances, there was a situation where Clapton’s play, which remained tired, was not very clear at the beginning of the 3rd day performance, so the fatigue of the previous day remained on this day as well. I was worried about whether or not there would be. However, from the opening, you can hear a reasonably good ad-lib play that is not a “giri” mistone. This Blue Rainbow consisted of ad-libs following the code except for the theme phrase in the last 5 days. The ad-libs on this day were quite good and fully brought out the charm of this song. It is truly Clapton that you do not play the same as one, do not devote yourself to mediocre play! There is no other way. There is no forgetting to step on the wah at the beginning of Pretending, and even in the aftermath of the highlight song I Shot The Sheriff in the first half, there are no mistakes, and sometimes thrilling fast-playing phrases are played. This solo is great.
Before Sam Hall’s song in the acoustic set, Clapton did not comment anything on this day and suddenly started the song. It seems that the tribute to Jeff Beck has already been shared with the audience. When I listen to it in this way, I think that the performance has been improved on this day, Clapton himself can relax, and I think that he has shown a play quality higher than the average. The last of the regular set was Cocaine on this day as well, but the solo while stepping on the wah in the middle was quite impressive. Clapton is still good. 【演奏がこなれ、安定した5日目公演の全貌をよりリアルに体感できる珠玉の一作！】
この日は、クラプトンの「武道館100回記念公演」に当たった4月21日の翌日に連続して行われた公演でした。先般の2日目、3日目公演も連続公演だったため、3日目公演の序盤では疲れの残ったクラプトンのプレイがイマイチ冴えないという事態もありましたので、この日も前日の疲れが残ってはいないかが不安視されるところでした。ところが、オープニングから「ギリ」ミストーンではない、まずまず達者なアドリブプレイが聴かれます。このBlue Rainbowは、この5日間でテーマフレーズを除き、コードに則ったアドリブで構成されていました。この日のアドリブは、かなりこなれたもので、この曲の魅力を十分に引き出したものでした。一つとして同じプレイをしない、凡庸なプレイに徹しないというのは、さすがクラプトン！という他ありません。Pretending冒頭でのワウの踏み忘れもないですし、前半のハイライト曲 I Shot The Sheriffの後奏でもミストーンなく、時にスリリングな速弾きフレーズを交えて弾き切っています。このソロの出来は素晴らしいです。
