The full pro shot representing the Tracy G era has been upgraded. It is a release decision on a 2-disc set DVD packed with the visual beauty of the highest peak master.
The standard video was filmed at the “September 20, 1998 Sofia Performance”. It is the multi-camera pro shot. Even if you say “Tracy G era” in one word, its contents can be classified into three tours. First, let’s organize the three tours and representative works.

This is DIO in 1998/1999. It was also a time when there were many small member changes, but the most important thing was the retreat of Vinnie Appice → Simon Wright. The Sofia performance of this work was the first day of “Europe # 1” after Simon returned.
This show was broadcast on TV by a local station in Bulgaria, and the professional shot was a big staple of the Tracy era. If you are an avid collector, you may remember our “BULGARIAN KNIGHTS”. This work is also the same TV broadcast pro shot, but it is the highest peak updated master that has been greatly upgraded.
In fact, the quality of this work is “different class” from the existing group. For those of you who own BULGARIAN KNIGHTS, please forget about the screen where the top and bottom were cut and the edges were crushed. As expected, this work cannot be said to be “Official grade!” Only for Bulgaria broadcasting, which was a backward country in rock, but the freshness of the master is excellent and the details are improved to the smallest details. ★ Multi-camera pro shot of “September 20, 1998 Sofia Performance”. Although it is a classic TV broadcast pro shot for a long time, this work is a new master that greatly updates its highest peak. これが1998年／1999年のDIO。細かいメンバーチェンジの多い時期でもあったわけですが、特に重要だったのはヴィニー・アピス→サイモン・ライトの後退。本作のソフィア公演は、サイモン復帰後となる「欧州#1」の初日でした。
このショウはブルガリアの地元局でTV放送され、そのプロショットはトレイシー時代の大定番。熱心なコレクター諸兄なら当店の『BULGARIAN KNIGHTS』をご記憶の方もいらっしゃるのではないでしょうか。本作も同じTV放送プロショットではありますが、大幅にアップグレードした最高峰更新マスターなのです。
実際、本作のクオリティは既発群とは「別物級」。『BULGARIAN KNIGHTS』をお持ちの方は、画面の上下がカットされ、エッジも潰れまくっていた画面を忘れて頂きたい。さすがにロック後進国であったブルガリア放送だけに本作も「オフィシャル級！」とまでは言えないのですが、瑞々しいマスター鮮度は絶品で微細部までディテールアップ。上下のカットもなく、ブルガリア語テロップがバリバリ登場する番組オープニングからしっかりと完全収録しています（この番組は前後編の２回に分けて放送されたらしく、本作もそれぞれディスク１枚ずつに収録しています）。
そんなアップグレード・マスターから流れ出るのは、公式作では窺い知れなかった“TO HULL AND BACK Tour”のフルショウ。最後に、比較しながらセットを整理しておきましょう。

これまでのソフィア映像は「フル・プロショット」というだけで定番とされ、クオリティはなかなか厳しかった。言わば「名ばかり代表作」でした。本作は、その不名誉を返上するアップグレード・マスターなのです。これまでとは違い、脳内補正の必要のない堂々たる「代表映像」。公式『HAMMERSMITH APOLLO 1993』『INFERNO』と並べてコレクトしなくてはならない絶対映像であり、堂々と「トレイシーＧ時代ブートなら、まずはコレ」と断言できる２枚組。どうぞ、思う存分お楽しみください！
