CD1はシングルとなる「涙の乗車券/イエス・イット・イズ」のセッションからアルバム『ヘルプ！』のアウトテイクスを収録。未発表曲「イフ・ユーヴ・ゴット・トラブル」「ザット・ミーンズ・ア・ロット」もモノラルからリアル・ステレオに代わって音質クオリティも向上。オリジナルでは「ザット・ミーンズ・ア・ロット」はテイク1だけの収録だったものがまったく異なるアレンジを試したり試行錯誤を繰り返す様子が追加収録されています。「悲しみをぶっとばせ」「イッツ・オンリー・ラブ」のアウトテイクスがリアル・ステレオ化されているのも注目です。またライブでは65年パリ公演がステレオ音源となっている他、65年ハリウッド・ボウル公演も公式リリースとは違う音源ソースで収録されています。CD2にはスタジオ・レコーディングが本格化したアルバム『ラバー・ソウル』と『リボルバー』からのセッション音源を収録。オリジナルに比べ大幅に選曲が増えただけでなくモノラルだった音源もリアル・ステレオに変更。オリジナルには未収録だったデモ音源「恋を抱きしめよう」「ミッシェル」「エリナー・リグビー」等が追加収録されています。ライブでは武道館公演がリアル・ステレオ化され収録。ラストは記録上の最終公演キャンドルスティック・パークでの最後の「ロング・トール・サリー」で締め括られています。
