ACCEPT is pushing forward with a world tour with a triple guitar formation. A full live album that allows you to experience the latest stage live is now available.
“Performance in Paris on January 18, 2023” is imbued in this work. It is a superb audience recording recorded at the “Bataclan Theater” which was also the site of terrorism in 2015. Last year, we introduced the first professional shot “ROCK HARD FESTIVAL 2022 (Shades 1540)” with a 6-person formation, but the world tour has been going smoothly since then. In order to know their recent situation, first of all, let’s check the position of the show from the ongoing tour schedule.

This is the schedule for 2022/2023 that has been announced so far. In 2021, there were only a few warm-up stages, and some of them were five-person shows. The world tour with all six members will start in 2022, and the previous report “ROCK HARD FESTIVAL 2022” was the beginning. The Paris performance of this work is about half a year later. It is a concert corresponding to the 4th performance of “Europe # 2”.
This work, which is a vacuum-packed version of such a show, is truly a superb product with “super”. Well, the blunt story is “just like a sound board”. The core with plenty of direct feeling is on and powerful, and the detailed details do not feel the distance at all. If you listen carefully with headphones, you will notice the hall rumbling, but even that only produces a luster like that of an FM broadcast, and does not cause any cloudiness or turbidity. The triple guitars can be clearly distinguished one by one, and the vocals are clear/clear up to each word of the lyrics. Rather, thanks to the ultra-thin ringing, the performance sound has a terratera metallic luster.
If it’s just the sound, it can only be thought of as a distribution, but even so, it can be said that it’s an audience because the person who recorded it has made it public. Moreover, the recording person is Mr. “Moka17” who is counted as a modern master. This person is a master of the topic who has been making famous recordings of French performances one after another, mainly in HR / HM. In terms of our collection, JUDAS PRIEST’s “VIENNE 2022 (Shades 1577)” is new to our memory. Before the corona crisis, ACCEPT’s “PARIS 2018 (Shades 864)” was also the work of this person. This work is the latest work in which such a master has evolved further.
Such an official-class sound is a full show that has been expanded from “ROCK HARD FESTIVAL 2022”. The previous work was a little over 90 minutes because it was in line with the appearance frame of the festival, but this work is a long stage of 1 hour and 51 minutes. Following IRON MAIDEN and HELLOWEEN, the latest ACCEPT has added a solid feeling with a triple guitar system. It is a masterpiece that you can experience the full show with the super tight and direct sound of the soundboard barefoot. そんな本作に吹き込まれているのは「2023年１月18日パリ公演」。2015年にテロの現場にもなった“バタクラン劇場”で記録された超極上オーディエンス録音です。昨年は６人編成で初となるプロショット『ROCK HARD FESTIVAL 2022（Shades 1540）』をご紹介しましたが、その後もワールド・ツアーは順調に実行中。そんな彼らの近況を知る為にも、まずは現在進行中のツアー・スケジュールからショウのポジションを確かめてみましょう。

これが現在までに公表されている2022年／2023年のスケジュール。2021年はウォームアップ的に指折り数えるほどのステージしか行わず、中には５人編成でのショウもありました。６人揃ってのワールド・ツアーは2022年になってから開始され、前回レポート『ROCK HARD FESTIVAL 2022』はその序盤でした。本作のパリ公演は、その約半年後。「欧州#2」の４公演目にあたるコンサートです。
そんなショウを真空パックした本作は、まさに「超」付きの極上品。まあ、ぶっちゃけた話が「まるでサウンドボード」。ダイレクト感たっぷりな芯はオンで力強く、微細部まで克明なディテールもまったく距離を感じない。ヘッドフォンで耳を澄ませるように聴けばホール鳴りにも気づくものの、それさえもFM放送のような艶やかさを演出するだけで、曇りや濁りを一切起こさない。トリプル・ギターが１本１本しっかりと聞き分けられ、ヴォーカルも歌詞の一語一語までハッキリ/クッキリ。むしろ、極薄な鳴りのお陰で演奏音にテラッテラな金属光沢まで宿っているくらいです。
音だけなら配信モノとしか思えないわけですが、それでもオーディエンスと断言できるのは、録音した本人が公開しているから。しかも、その録音者というのが現代の名手に数えられる「Moka17」氏。この人物はHR/HMを中心にフランス公演の名録音を次から次へと連発している話題の達人。当店コレクションで言いますとJUDAS PRIESTの『VIENNE 2022（Shades 1577）』が記憶に新しいところ。コロナ禍前ならACCEPTの『PARIS 2018（Shades 864）』も、この人物の作品でした。本作は、そんな名手がさらに進化を遂げた最新作なのです。
