1982年の「DAWN PATROL」での本格的なデビュー後、ヘヴィメタル・ブームの波にも乗って、NIGHT RANGERはファンの高い人気を獲得しました。’83年12月の初来日後は日本での支持もさらに上昇。’85年には過密なツアー・スケジュールの中、２度目のジャパンツアーも成功させました。そのNIGHT RANGER人気がピークに達したのが1986年です。「Sister Christian」のシングル・ヒットに続き、アルバム「7 WISHES」も成功。バンドは’86年１月に行われた３度目の来日で、遂に武道館公演を実現したのです。
本作ではその武道館公演２日目（追加公演）に当たる１月28日の模様を、録音者提供によるオリジナル・カセット・マスターからダイレクト収録。満員の中行われた初日・27日に続く大興奮のライヴを、プレスCD級の優れたオーディエンス・サウンドで満喫できます！

本音源の魅力は、その優れた音質です。マスター・クオリティのクリアネスと優れた明度はもちろん、均整の取れたバランスの良い音像でライヴを封じ込めています。オーディエンス録音でありがちな観客の声も気にならず（何しろ最前列での録音なのですから！）、バンドのパフォーマンスを理想的なサウンドと、心地よいライヴ感でたっぷり堪能できます。
