Recorded from New Source’s broadcast sound source, the first day of the Australian tour from February to the beginning of March 1966. The first show of the Sydney performance on February 18 broadcasted by local FM station “2UW” (the broadcast date is February 22). Considering the times, a good mono sound board that can be heard enough. VGP “Reelin ‘And Rockin'” and other popular classics from this time, this take has recently become a must-see new edition for fans who have been net-up with detailed records of the route of acquisition and historical information. . This is great.

At the beginning, a report on arrival of Stones at Sydney Airport on February 16 and a valuable member interview were recorded. The interviewer is Ward Austin, a radio DJ who hosts the concert. Despite the cut-in and out contents, the sound quality is good enough. Easy to listen and great atmosphere. It starts lightly from the intro of “Fabulous Rolling Stones!” And “Mercy Mercy”, but the first song is “The Last Time”. This cassette master was obtained in 1972, six years after the broadcast, and it was recorded on the tape in the form of two airport reports and live, and this time it seems to have been uploaded as it is.

Although our shop has adjusted the localization of the first track and it is a little processing, it was adjusted to be easy to listen, but it is a historical sound source, and the sound image and texture including the freshness is sufficiently good (can be heard), so naturally There is no excessive equalization. Sound loss due to tape flip is confirmed at the ending of Get Off Of My Cloud, but otherwise there is no problem. In any case, it is a notable work of the first day broadcasting sound source of the Sydney must-have and must-have for fans who are different in route from the existing ones.

There is only a radio broadcast sound source in the rock, and the sound balance is solid and there is a response. The set list of this performance seems to be centered on the tracks recorded in the UK’s “Out Of Our Heads”, but the live take of “The Spider And The Fly” that was not broadcast on the Melbourne performance FM broadcast is solid The point is that you can listen. 1966年2月から3月頭にかけて行われたオーストラリア・ツアー初日の模様をニューソースの放送音源より収録。ローカルFM局「2UW」が放送した2月18日のシドニー公演の1st Show（放送日は2月22日とのこと）。時代を考えれば、十分に聴ける良好なモノラル・サウンドボード。VGP「Reelin’ And Rockin’」を始め、過去よりお馴染みのこの時期の定番音源ですが、本テイクは近年、入手経路と歴史的情報の詳細な記録と共にネットアップされたファン絶対必聴のニューエディション。これは素晴らしいです。

冒頭には既発未収録の2月16日のシドニー空港のストーンズ到着レポートと貴重なメンバー・インタビューを収録。インタビューアーはコンサートのオープニング司会を務めてるラジオDJのウォード・オースチン。カットイン＆アウトの内容ながら、音質も十分に良好。聴きやすく雰囲気も抜群です。「Fabulous Rolling Stones!」のイントロからサウンドチェック音、そして「Mercy Mercy」で軽快にスタートしますが、本来の一曲目は「The Last Time」ではないかとのこと。このカセットマスターは、放送から6年経った1972年に入手したもので、テープには空港レポート2種とライヴという形で収録されており、今回はそのままアップしてくれたようです。

当店は1トラック目の定位を整えて、若干の処理ですが、聴きやすく調整はしましたが、歴史的音源であり、鮮度も含め元から音像・質感は十分に良好(=聴ける）ので、当然過度なイコライズはしてません。Get Off Of My Cloud のエンディングでテープフリップによる音欠損が確認されますが、それ以外は無問題。いずれにせよ、既発とはルート違いのファン必聴・必携のシドニー初日放送音源の注目作です。

流石にラジオ放送音源だけあって音のバランスはしっかりしていて聴き応えがあります。この公演のセットリストは英米の「Out Of Our Heads」収録曲が中心となったようなものですが、メルボルン公演のFM放送で放送されなかった「The Spider And The Fly」のライヴテイクがしっかりと聴けるのがポイントかと。「Get Off Of My Cloud」ではヴォーカルとバックがかみ合わなく箇所が2つもありますが、それがカットされずそのまま放送されたということは、この放送自体が生中継だったのでしょうか。またラストの「Satisfaction」では観客がステージに乱入したのか、１番はミックがまともに歌えなくなってしまってますが、すぐに乱入者を排除できたのか2番から最後まではキチンと歌いきっています。（★追記：Satisfaction 3分40秒台でピー、ピーという意味不明の音が数回入り、「事典」では「CDマスター製作時に混入したのではないかと推測しますが、真相は如何に」と書かれてますが、ここでもピー音は出てくるので放送段階から入っているもののようです。（但し、ミックが歌っている箇所ではないので、放送禁止用語というわけではないです。）
