まさに「完全無欠」。1991年4月9日のフロリダ公演を皮切りに、約一年をかけて大規模なツアーを敢行、世界中のイエス・ファンを感激させ興奮させてくれた、イエス史唯一となる、新旧イエス混合合体ユニット「8人イエス」による世界ツアーの終着点は日本でした。5公演が行われた1992年ジャパン・ツアーより、ニューソースをメインとして最高音質盤として、大阪・名古屋・東京と6枚組プレスCDに時系列に収録したタイトルが本作です。日本ツアー2日目となる3月2日大阪城ホール公演と記念すべき「Union」ワールドツアー最終日である3月5日の武道館公演を録音したのは、1980年代を中心に、クラプトン、ストーンズ、ミック・ジャガー、ジェフ・ベック、TOTO、ピンク・フロイド、ジェネシスと言った辺り（他にも数えきれない程多数！）をマニア驚愕の最高音質で録音したテーパーによるもので、今回もまた、トレーダー間に一切出回っていないオリジナル・マスターよりダイレクトに収録しました。そもそも、3月2日の大阪公演タイトルに過去にまともなタイトルはリリースされてこなかったので、今回は最初にして究極の大阪公演決定版ということになります。まずはディスク１＆２を再生してみましょう。歓声に邪魔されない、非常にクリアーで澄み切った端正なサウンドで収録されており、その安定した高品質な音像に世界中のファンは称賛の言葉を送るであろうこと間違いなしの音源です。篭りも殆ど無く、緻密に構成された楽音のひとつひとつを、分離感抜群のサウンドでじっくりと堪能することができます。5曲目にはハウのソロタイムでSurface Tensionが披露されたのは日本ツアーでは初日（2/29代々木）とこの大阪だけです。ラストのラストまで全くぶれることなく見事な構築音を奏でます。西日本のイエス・ファンは、この音で1992年の大阪公演が聴けることに大いなる感慨を覚えることでしょう。続いては同テーパーによるディスク５＆６の最終・武道館公演。本公演には2007年初頭にSireneよりリリースされた「The End Of Union」があり、そちらも高品質な内容でマニアからも好評でしたが、本盤の音のクリアーさ、近さ、スケール感、パンチと全ての点で既発を凌駕しており、イエス・ファンは、遂に登場した1992年武道館公演の最高音質盤に狂喜すること間違いありません。順列が逆になりましたが、ディスク３＆４には名古屋公演音源のアップグレード版が収録されています。大元は2007年にWindmillからリリースされ「Unionツアー最高音質版」と評された「RIGHTS OF MANKIND」の音源を大元からリマスター＆ブラッシュアップ。元々beatleg誌などでも「オーディエンス録音ながら驚くべきクオリティで収録しており、一聴するとサウンドボード音源と聴き間違えてしまうほど」「既発「Masters Of Time」を何十倍も上回る音質なので買い替え必至」「高音質なので、何を聴いても演奏が素晴らしく聴こえるのは大収穫」(beatleg誌 vol.87)と絶賛されていた最高音質版ゆえ、ファンからのプレスCDでのリリースが熱望されており、今回、新音源と合わせて、このような最良のセットでプレス化できることを非常に嬉しく思っています。既に定評ある適度なリマスター技術により、元々高音質ながら、中高音～高音にかけてを強調し、抜けを良くし、空前絶後のスーパーサウンドを造り上げてあります。正直言いますと、この名古屋公演が常識外れの最高音質のため、他のディスクも十分過ぎるほどの高音質なのに、並べるとやや見劣りしてしまうといった問題もありますが、3公演にして収録時間7時間50分、現存する最強・最高マスター音源を一堂に介した本セットの充実感・他に例を見ないクオリティの高さは素晴らしいものがあります。長いツアーを経て完成されたアラン・ホワイトとビル・ブラッフォードのツィン・ドラム＆パーカッションの妙もこの音だからこそ、その魅力と深みをたっぷりと楽しむことができます。セットはほぼ同じですが、前述のハウのソロタイムの日替わりメニュー（名古屋ではAll The Chordを歌入りでプレイ）、更には全ての日本公演でAnd You And Iの前に「平和の歌」が、リックのソロの前には「トンボのメガネ」がジョンによって独唱（一部、観客の参加も強制）されますが、日ごとに歌が上手くなっていくのも一興です。最終日のI’ve Seen All Good Peopleでは演奏前に「皆さん一緒に歌ってください」という声に続いて「In the key of E～」と言う掛け声で、メンバーと共に「アー」と言って観客に歌わせたりと、この日しか聴けないような珍しいシーンも聴くことができます。名古屋公演ではRoundaboutがちょっと変わっており、４分台でジョンがいつもと違う感じで歌っている上、ラストのラララーで最初、ジョンが歌い損ねるという珍しいミスもあり、その後、なぜか最後の全体のキメもめちゃくちゃになってしまうという面白い演奏を聴く事ができます。こういった細かい事はさておき、演奏クオリティは全体的に極上で、サウンドの素晴らしさも伴って最高のときを過ごすことができます。世界中のイエス・ファン驚愕の6枚組プレスCDが限定セットで登場です。
