It is a sound board live sound source of the Gary Burton Quartet in which Larry Coryell participated on the guitar. It is a coupling of the European performance of the Newport Jazz Festival in 1967, and the official CD with the same festival was released in the same year, but the content is different from that. The official is a coupling of the studio album “Something’s Coming” to the July sound source, and this is a coupling of the Dutch performance in October and the Finnish performance in November. Steve Swallow who represents ECM along with Arild Andersen on the base. The Finnish performance was out of pitch, but it has been corrected by remastering.
ラリー・コリエルがギターで参加したゲイリー・バートン・カルテットのサウンドボード・ライヴ音源です。1967年のニューポート・ジャズ・フェスティヴァルのヨーロッパ公演をカップリングしたもので、オフィシャルでも同年同フェスティヴァルを冠したCDがリリースされていますが、それとは別内容。オフィシャルは7月の音源にスタジオ・アルバム“Something’s Coming”をカップリングしたもの、こちらは10月のオランダ公演と11月のフィンランド公演をカップリングしたものとなっております。ベースにはアリルド・アンデルセンと並びECMを代表するスティーヴ・スワロウ。フィンランド公演はピッチがずれていましたがリマスタリングにより修正されています。
