1996年の『Keys To Ascension』にて黄金のメンバーで復活したイエスだったが、リック・ウェイクマンの脱退によりそのままワールド・ツアーの実現とは成らず、『Keys To Ascension』のスタジオ・トラックでミックス作業を請け負ったビリー・シャーウッドを正式メンバーに、更にはサポート・キーボードとしてイゴール・コロシェフも迎え入れた『Open Your Eyes』を1997年にリリースし、この2人が加わった6人編成のイエスとして、ようやくワールド・ツアーが行われたことも随分と昔の話になってしまった。この6人イエスによる“Open Your Eyes Tour”は本来なら黄金のメンバーによる“Keys To Ascension Tour”となるはずだったため、1997年10月17日のハートフォードから1998年10月14日の大阪までとツアーは長期化した。どうしてもそれだけのスケジュールをこなさなければならなかったのだろう。『Yessongs』と同じく「Firebird Suite」「Siberian Khatru」をオープニングにすることと、大曲「The Revealing Science Of God」をフル・ヴァージョンで演奏することで、トレヴァー・ラヴィン・イエスのイメージを払拭する組立は『Keys To Ascension』と同じである。このミルウォーキー公演ではスティーヴ・ハウのアコースティック・セットからの流れでジョン・アンダーソンも加わって演奏されている「Leaves Of Green」（The Ancient）や、スティーヴ・ハウの弾くペダル・スティールがフィーチャーされた「Soon」といったドラマチックな展開が目立っている。「The Revealing Science Of God」はイゴール・コロシェフの弾くキーボードが安定しない箇所もあるが、前述の2曲とともにツアー最終となった日本公演では演奏されなかった（「Leaves Of Green」は「Wonderous Stories」、「The Revealing Science Of God」は「Close To The Edge」に代えられてしまった）こともあり、これらの曲は日本のファンには妙に新鮮に聴こえるはずである。オーディエンス録音だが、音像は立体的で、各楽器のディテイルまで存分に味わえる良好な音質にて収録されている。
