そのクオリティで描かれる“ジョン＆クリス”の姿は、やはり胸に熱い。もちろん、この映像の中の２人は「あと２回で別れる」とは思ってもいなかったでしょうし、35周年を祝うピースフルな雰囲気を楽しむように穏やかに笑い、気持ちよく演奏している。そんなムードが際立つのは、ショウ後半のアコースティック・セット。35周年ツアーの目玉のひとつでもあったわけですが、ユーモアを交えながらメンバー同士がフレーズでじゃれ合うようなムードが暖かい。特に「Long Distance Runaround」では、歌詞をちょっと変えて観客の爆笑を誘います。

アコースティック・ギターとベースをつま弾くジョンとクリスが並び、その響きに混じり合う２人の声……この光景はもう二度と戻りません。こみ上げる寂しさが優しい歌声に癒されながらも、それが限りなく暖かいからこそ想いも募る。１本のコンサート映像としても素晴らしく、それ以上に胸に迫る１枚。クリスとの最後の別れになってしまった日本公演から１年。そんな今だからこそ、彼との想い出を蘇らせてくれる本作を、あなたに贈ります。
