For THE WHO 1969 was a special year. The album “TOMMY” which began recording from the previous autumn is announced, and the concept album which fused the rock and the opera gets an evaluation to climb up as a high as an artist. This album is still not only the masterpiece of THE WHO, but also famous as a masterpiece of rock that produces various covers. It was made into a movie, an orchestralization, a musicalization, and a reproduction live by THE WHO himself, etc. With the theme of this album, and the album recording song still occupies an important position in THE WHO live.

“TOMMY” was released in May 1969, but he sewed between recordings on tour from January 1969. In the second half of April 1969 the stage was already unpublished “TOMMY “The songs are showing off. However at this point, it was a set list in which several songs thought not to be suitable for the stage were omitted, but after that almost all songs will be reproduced on the stage.

The year of 1969 was a special year not only for THE WHO but also for rock. The historic Woodstock Festival, the Isle of Wight Festival and other important events handed down to later years were also held, and the timing of THE WHO and the time just after releasing “TOMMY” by God’s material or coincidence The interwoven, THE WHO performs performance on any stage. The London Coliseum performance in 1969 was an image that was partially known in the annual documentary and so on, and it was an image that the long-awaited appearance of the full-length movie was long-awaited. Although the full story appeared as the bonus disc of the documentary “Amazing Journey”, it was hard to listen to the fact that the sound was excessively processed and hence it was hard to listen to, and what is more starkly nearly dark picture due to the original film than anything else . This work digitally remastered to make mastering another master different from “Amazing Journey”, correctly mastering the sound, digitally increasing the gain to the limit, and viewing it easier. Although film and grain (particles) are somewhat conspicuous, it can be said that this clear image made it the image which finally became a work.
