In 1975 (46 years ago !!), the “Rock Summer Course” was broadcast for 6 consecutive days from August 4th (Monday) to 9th (Saturday). (Because of its popularity, it will be broadcast in a series with the same title the following year.) “British Blues Rock,” “Hard Rock,” “One Wolf All-Member Assembly,” etc. The full-scale program was broadcast every night, just like a summer training camp account, but this edition is an hour-long spot on “Progressive Rock,” which was broadcast for two consecutive days on the 8th and 9th. Contains special programs. The final day, 9th, is centered around big names such as Jesus and Floyd, but on this first day, some of the songs that are popular at that time are selected, which is also unbearable for fans. The opening crimson “Epitaph” is only used for about 30 seconds as the opening intro, but the songs of other artists are broadcast firmly without cutting, and the set contents such as 1975 are really nice one piece. I am. The contents are the first two songs from Moody Bruce’s “Every Good Boy Deserves Favorite”, the first two songs from ELP “Tarkus”, Bitches Crystal, soft machine or “Bundles”, for some reason Kashmir of Zeppelin, Aphrodite’s Child led by Vangelis ” A variety of songs from “666” to Aegian Sea, Kraftwerk “Autobahn” Comet Melody 1, and Roxy Music “Stranded” to Mother Of Pearl and Sunset. It is impossible to convey the whole picture of progressive rock in just one hour, but instead of relying on the popular songs of the big names, I dare to introduce songs with delicate genres and boundaries, and take the basic stance of “What is progressive rock?” It is a very responsive content that goes back and discusses. From DJs, quite straightforward and personal opinions and opinions will appear, but now in 2012, I listen to their deep insight and logical thinking that makes me feel universal that it is not strange to listen to them. You will be impressed by it.

The first MC is interesting, so I’ll excerpt it below. Moody Blues talks about ELP in a unique way.

“But Epitaph is popular with very young girls, but that understanding is a bit like a substitute for the Carpenters, and it’s confused by the beautiful melody. There’s the danger of being emotionally understood. The sounds that Moody Blues had in the early days of progressive rock didn’t always carry that danger. I wonder if the next ELP has no such place at all and will crush various things. “” I hate folk, there are a lot of four and a half song-like songs, these days That kind of thing has become widespread in songs, and I feel very uncomfortable, but for example, how about breaking up with a woman? If this is not the case, singing endlessly in my personal life would be a worm spit. (Omitted) So I hate the warmth of reality, and the sound of crushing that kind of thing I like it. In that respect, Keith Emerson’s keyboard feels so good that I’m wondering if it’s really confident, unwavering, or confident enough to play. I like it very much. ”

As you can see, the explanations and comments for each artist are very interesting, so I think you will definitely enjoy it. The views on Greg Lake and Led Zeppelin are also straightforward and creepy, and I don’t think they all fit, but it’s a very interesting opinion.

Kraftwerk’s introductory comment is also terrifying, “It feels like music that really looks like dregs. At first glance, music that looks like dregs may sound silly, but it’s very difficult to make this. That’s not something that can be done easily. I think it’s wonderful to build it with that kind of feeling that it doesn’t matter. “It’s also quite intense and interesting.

There is no doubt that you can enjoy it as many times as you like even if you listen to it repeatedly as a BGM. It’s one of the best compilation CDs that is truly unique. This is exactly the cross-section of the times. It would be very fun to drive while listening to this and immersing yourself in the memories of 36 years ago in the middle of the night.
