VANDENBERG in 1984 that delivered to Japan the melancholy hard rock unique to continental Europe. A full sound board album that is different from the official video “LIVE IN JAPAN” will be released as a gift.
The performance of “June 20, 1984: Nakano Sunplaza” is engraved in this work. It is the superb stereo sound board recording. At our shop, the official video “LIVE IN JAPAN” for the first time in Japan is also reprinted on a press DVD, but this work is a completely different concert. In order to grasp the situation in that area, let’s first check the positions of both works from the schedule at that time.

・ June 16: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall
・ June 17: Nagoya City Assembly Hall
・ June 19: Nakano Sunplaza
・ June 20: Nakano Sunplaza ← ★ This work ★
・ June 21: Shibuya Public Hall ← * Video LIVE IN JAPAN
・ June 22: Shinjuku Welfare Pension Hall

Above, all 6 performances. Four performances were held only in Tokyo, but “LIVE IN JAPAN” is the third performance in Shibuya. On the other hand, this work was Nakano for the second performance. It is known that this show has a sound board sound source left for a long time, and it has been loved by the Bondage label masterpiece “ROLL THRU THE NIGHT”. This work is an expanded and complete version of such a legendary sound board. Of course, expansion is not something like multiple sound sources. It was a master of the outflow of related parties newly discovered in 2012, and it was a big hit as our press masterpiece “HEADING FOR THE NIGHT”.
The quality is just shocking. The sound quality is “completely official”, but the vividness is more than that. It is a so-called mixed table direct connection type and is completely unprocessed. Unlike the finely honed main press DVD, the loud cheers are fiercely far away, and the balance is also a mix for on-site PA. The live music pops out without hesitation, and it rushes into my brain with the vividness of knowing home audio.
However, that is good. cool!
As anyone who can pay attention to this article knows, the sound board directly connected to the table does not have the effect of reproducing the concert scene, and there is no polishing. Instead of being totally realistic, the feeling of synchronization with the band itself is maximal. What you want from a live board is ten people and ten colors, and the best record depends on it. If you’re looking for concert-themed music, it’s the official live version, and if you’re looking for a realistic presence and re-experience, there’s nothing better than the finest audience recording. On the other hand, when thinking “for listening to live music”, the sound board directly connected to the table is the best. And this work is the highest quality product.
The sound depicts a full show that is a concentrated reduction of the masterpieces “The Myth of the Netherlands” and “Heading for a Storm”. Let’s organize the first visit to Japan set here.

● Netherland myth (7 songs)
・ Ready For You / Back On My Feet / Your Love Is In Vain / Out In The Streets / Wait / Too Late / Burning Heart
● Heading for a Storm (8 songs)
・ Heading For A Storm / Friday Night / Welcome To The Club / Time Will Tell / This Is War / Different Worlds / Rock On / Waiting For The Night
● Alibi (1 song)
・ Kamikaze

… And it looks like this. The song itself is the same as “LIVE IN JAPAN”, but the order of the songs is different, and the composition that starts with the opening BGM and “Ready For You” is the same as the actual performance. Masterpieces that are the treasures of classical HR are released one after another. Speaking of VANDENBERG, the debut work and the 2nd album are masterpieces that are hard to attach, but this work almost plays the repertoire of both works. In fact, all the songs except the three songs “Nothing to Lose”, “Lost in a City” and “I’m on Fire” are packed together. Of course, because it’s a live concert, the flow isn’t stagnant, and it’s far better than the best compilation albums out there.
MSG’s “Flying Legend” and Ozzy Osbourne’s “TRIBUTE” come to mind when you taste the dramaticism. Like Adrian, Michael Schenker and Randy Rhoad were Gibson messengers who loved Leslie West, and were the heroes who pioneered classical HR in the early 80’s. All three of them left a full live album that seems to have concentrated two studio works. There is no doubt that this work itself is a super masterpiece of VANDENBERG, but from a different point of view, it is a definitive live album that can be called “Adrian’s Flying Legend and TRIBUTE”.

It is a super-masterpiece of stereo sound board that stands in a dimension that goes beyond the distinction between official and informal. A full live album where you can enjoy a show different from the official video “LIVE IN JAPAN” with superb quality. Please take this opportunity to thoroughly enjoy it!

LIVE IN JAPAN

Ready For You/Back On My Feet/Your Love Is In Vain/Out In The Streets/Wait/Too Late/Burning Heart
・Heading For A Storm/Friday Night/Welcome To The Club/Time Will Tell/This Is War/Different Worlds/Rock On/Waiting For The Night

実に3曲「Nothing to Lose」「Lost in a City」「I’m on Fire」以外の全曲がギュウ詰めになっている。
