In 2007, a must-listen title for fans who recorded the memorable first show of Van Halen’s return to Dave Lee Roth with the best audience recording appeared! The sound source of this day is the version where the microphone trouble is occurring in the first song You Really Got Me, and the two sound sources that are completely recorded although the sound is not good, but this work is basically the sound While using a good version of, the best take that repairs the problem of You Really Got Me’s sound interruption using two types of sound sources is recorded. Dave’s vocals and Eddie’s guitar are recorded with a wonderful sound that penetrates in a well-balanced manner, and you can enjoy the historic reunion live with the highest sound quality. Eddie’s son Wolfgang is playing the bass as a successor to Michael Anthony, but I am surprised at the skillful performance that I can not think of being 16 years old. The set is just like the Greatest Hits of the Dave era, and you can fully enjoy the songs you wanted to listen to with the best lineup. Dave also shows off his stunning vocals that won’t let you down, and you’ll hear a stunning performance that won’t betray old fans. Anyway, it is impressive to hear the memorable first day of the 2007 tour with such sound quality. This is a highly recommended piece.

★ This is a review summary of beatleg magazine vol.89 (December 2007 issue). For your reference.

David Lee Roth returns to Van Halen for the first time in 22 years, and Eddie’s son Wolfgang joins as a bassist in place of Michael Anthony, and Van Halen is back. However, the originally planned summer 2007 US Open was canceled as Eddie entered a rehab facility. Eddie, who finished the rehabilitation, returned, and the reunion tour was finally realized in the fall. The first day of the tour will be Charlotte performance on September 27, 2007. Eddie’s guitar echoed in the loud cheers, and when the riff changed to the intro of You Really Got Me, the cheers became even louder. It used to start with this song during the Sammy era, but when Dave sings on Eddie’s guitar, the old magic revives. And when I hear Dave’s usual words, “Look at all the people here tonight!”, I think Dave is back. Eddie’s guitar play at I’m The One is great, and the audience responds with a big cheer again to the break that just asks how about it on the way. Three songs from the first album are followed by nostalgic songs one after another. In the intro of Somebody Get Me A Doctor, Dave plays the harmonica, and in the middle of Everybody Wants Some, Dave and Eddie interact with each other. The 16-year-old Wolfgang is doing bass play safely, but the chorus is also very solid. He went on stage for several performances on the 2004 Nio North American Tour, played guitar with Eddie, and had already shown his father’s talent. Dave’s vocals give the impression that he’s skiing a little more than before, but his voice is solid. Although there are some areas in the middle of the game that are a little overwhelming, they are picking up quickly. During the 1984 tour, Eddie was playing the keyboard and playing I’ll Wait, but this time it seems that the support keyboard player is playing, so Eddie can concentrate on the guitar. Eddie’s guitar solo is still awesome, and it’s the first time it’s started with the Women In Love intro. The encore was closed with a Jump following the 1984 tape. The set list consisting of the songs from the first to the sixth “1984” was selected by Wolfgang. Although no song was played for the first time in a live performance, there were some rare songs and some songs that new fans felt fresh, but for old fans, it can be said that it is the best song selection that is extremely happy.

そしてデイヴの「Look at all the people here tonight!」
