A miracle masterpiece is being struck every week, and the original master of the legendary master, Mike Millard, who has continued to overthrow decades of recording history, is excavated. In the world history of the front, 2020 will be recorded as “the year of coronal bruise,” but in the history of music behind it will be described as “the year of Millard.” Introducing the U2 recording, which is the latest in the symbolic project and is a masterpiece of Millard’s later years.
“The Los Angeles performance on April 12, 1992” is included in this work. It is a finest audience recording that vacuum-packed one act of “ZOO TV TOUR” accompanying the shocking work “ACHTUNG BABY”. Just saying “U2 by Millard” makes me nervous, but first of all, it is the position of the show. Let’s look back at the whole picture of “ZOO TV TOUR”.

・August 7-November 25: North America #2 (47 performances)
● 1993

・November 12-December 10: Oceania/Japan (10 performances) ← *Official video

This is U2 from 1992/1993. “ACHTUNG BABY” was released in November 1991, but the tour started at the end of February 1992. The pattern of this tour is left in the official work “ZOO TV: LIVE FROM SYDNEY”, but it is “Oceania” in the final version. On the other hand, the Los Angeles performance of this work was the 25th performance of the opening “North America #1”.
This work recorded at such a show is just the finest audience recording. The recording of this show will be the sixth in this work, but this time the mirrored recording is first released. Of course, it is the highest peak that greatly surpasses any recording in the past. However, for the transcendental and ordinary mirrored collection, a slight distance is felt (of course, it is a close contact level by standard standards), and it is undeniable that the surrounding noises are inhaled. Therefore, it cannot be said that it is a masterpiece of mirrored recording, but it can be said enough that it is a masterpiece of ZOO TV TOUR. Up until now, Madison performances and Houston performances were known as the top audience in 1992, but the Millard Master lined up with the successive classics as soon as they appeared, and from the mania of the world “What is the true top? !?” has become a hot topic.
The U2 full show that opened up a new world is drawn with such a sound. As mentioned above, this tour is also the official work “LIVE FROM SYDNEY”, but this work was over a year and a half ago and when “ZOOROPA” was not released. The sets are different, so let’s compare and organize them.

●80’s number (9 songs)
・ Flame: Bad (★)/Pride (In The Name Of Love)
・Joshua Tree: Bullet The Blue Sky/Running To Stand Still/Where The Streets Have No Name/I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For (★)/With Or Without You
・Scream of the Soul: Angel Of Harlem/Desire
● Acton Baby and others (11 songs)
・Zoo Station/The Fly/Even Better Than The Real Thing/Mysterious Ways/One/Until The End Of The World/Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (★)/Tryin’ To Throw Your Arms Around The World/Ultraviolet (Light My Way) (★)/Love Is Blindness
・Cover: Satellite Of Love (Le Reed)
*Note: The “★” marks are songs that cannot be heard in “ZOO TV: LIVE FROM SYDNEY”.

…And this is how it looks. As a matter of course, there is no “ZOOROPA” number yet, but instead of this, the large-scale behavior from “ACHTUNG BABY”. Not to mention “Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses” “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” that cannot be heard in the official work, “Tryin’ To Throw Your Arms Around The World” “Love Is Blindness” and “Satellite” recorded on the single B side. There are lots of delicious songs only for this tour, such as “Of Love”. The volume itself, which is all songs other than “So Cruel” and “Acrobat”, gives off a mood of “ACH TUNG BABY”.
And another thing that is moving is the sense of presence. As I wrote earlier, “I use a mirror to absorb the hustle and bustle of the surroundings,” but it is not a fault, but a beauty. Often there are expressions such as “shaking the venue” and “the ceiling blows away,” but in this work, the words can be felt realistically. Of course, if you scream, there is no child, but since it is a mirrored recording, you do not have to worry about it. Rather, the sense of perspective is drawn vividly because even one grain of distant applause is clear, which gives a sense of scale in comparison with the relatively close enthusiasm. The playing sound of U2 is so strong that it can completely control the three-dimensional space, and even if the inside of the stadium boiled up, the seat of the leading role does not make a slight movement. The music controls the enthusiasm, and the enthusiasm brings out the enthusiasm of the performance. This is also a real pleasure that cannot be enjoyed with sound boards or official productions. It is a “experience album” where you can enjoy it with the highest quality.

The great guy Millard was recording until November 1992. This work is a masterpiece live album left in the later years of the legendary master. U2, which makes sounds that make use of the sound of a huge stadium, is also said to be unsuitable for audience recording. However, even in such a situation, Mirrored Magic has realized a powerful core and a clear contour. Even if it is not his masterpiece, there is no doubt that it is a beautiful sound that only a legendary master could achieve.
In addition to being able to experience the best “ZOO TV TOUR” with a different expression from the official work, it is also indispensable to follow the footsteps of the recording magician. Please enjoy the permanent preservation press 2CD.

Bad(★)/Pride (In The Name Of Love)
Bullet The Blue Sky/Running To Stand Still/Where The Streets Have No Name/I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For(★)/With Or Without You
Angel Of Harlem/Desire
・Zoo Station/The Fly/Even Better Than The Real Thing/Mysterious Ways/One/Until The End Of The World/Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses(★)/Tryin’ To Throw Your Arms Around The World/Ultraviolet (Light My Way)(★)/Love Is Blindness

公式作では聴けない「Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses」「Ultraviolet (Light My Way)」はもちろんのこと、「Tryin’ To Throw Your Arms Around The World」「Love Is Blindness」やシングルB面収録の「Satellite Of Love」など、このツアーだけの美味しい曲が盛りだくさん。
