The first visit to Japan of the TYGERS OF PANG TANG legend who delivered the real NWOBHM sound to Japan. Introducing a new excavation recording of a miracle that allows you to experience the scene in the best possible way.
“September 30, 1982: Nakano Sunplaza performance” is engraved in this work. It is the transcendental audience recording. At our shop, we have archived their first visit to Japan with a number of masterpieces, including the masterpiece “BLACKJACK (Calm & Storm 025)” recorded by Miracle Man. This work is a new excavation live album that updates the highest peak. First of all, let’s look back on the schedule at that time, which also serves as a collection organization.
・ September 26, “BLACKJACK”
・ September 27, “NGOYA 1982”
・ September 28: Osaka Festival Hall
・ September 29, “TOKYO BOUND”
・ September 30: Nakano Sunplaza ← ★ This work ★
Above, all 5 performances. We have introduced all the performances except Osaka as a live album, but the most representative work so far was the press masterpiece “BLACKJACK” recorded at Shibuya Public Hall on the first day. On the other hand, this work is a live album on the final day.
And the sound is the best audience with “super”. Recently, I think that there are many press CDs with “Definitive Master” in the title, but this is actually a work by the same recorder. This person was an amazing master, and at THE POLICE and WHITESNAKE, he was talked about as “beyond the official work even though it was a guest record!” And a shock runs. This work is a TYGERS OF PANG TANG version by such a master of Japanese recording history. Of course, it is a separate recording that is completely unrelated to the already-released “TOKYO LAST NIGHT” of this show.
However, not all of them reach “beyond the official” even if they are masters, but this work is one of the best in the collection. “BLACKJACK” was also an on and clear recording, but this work is captured even more beautifully and richly to the deep bass. If the feeling of close contact captured from the “1st floor, 4th row” is vivid, the fine details are in the FM broadcast class, and the sound with even wider dynamism can only be said to be “official”.
The sound of such transcendence is drawn with a full show that seems to have concentrated the golden age. However, it is also a non-set similar to the masterpiece “BLACKJACK” on the first day, so let’s organize it while comparing it here.
● Classics (10 songs)
・ Wild Cat: Wild Catz / Suzie Smiled / Slave to Freedom
・ Spellbound: Blackjack / Don’t Stop By / Hellbound / Gangland (★)
・ Crazy Night: Never Satisfied (★) / Love Don’t Stay / Raised on Rock
● Dangerous Paradise (8 songs)
・ You Always See What You Want / Lonely at the Top / Letter From L.A./Paris by Air / Tides / The Actor / Love Potion No.9 / Life Of Crime (★)
* Note: The “★” mark is a song that cannot be heard in the Miracle Man recording “BLACKJACK” on the first day.
… And it looks like this. A wide selection from all albums, centered on “THE CAGE” with enhanced melody. “Gangland” and “Never Satisfied” that weren’t in “BLACKJACK” are also delicious … I can’t believe the first day I didn’t do these two songs! Of course, “Hellbound”, “Don’t Stop By”, “Wild Catz”, “Love Potion No. 9”, and other “Don’t remove it” class deadly numbers are firmly held down. It’s a live album that concentrates and reduces the golden age TYGERS OF PANG TANG, even if the memories of your first visit to Japan are lost.
From the movie “2001: A Space Odyssey”, the magnificent “Zaratustra said this” echoed, and the curtain was closed with the end announcement of “Today’s TYGERS OF PANG TANG Tokyo performance has all ended.” No one would have imagined that the return to Japan would be 2018 (far beyond 2001) at this time. This work is an amazing new excavation live album that is vacuum packed to the big circle mood on the final day. Please enjoy it anytime, forever with the permanent storage press 2CD!
★ A superb audience recording of the legendary first visit to Japan “September 30, 1982: Nakano Sunplaza performance”. If the feeling of close contact captured from the “4th row on the 1st floor” is vivid, the fine details are in the FM broadcast class, and even the deep bass is beautiful and rich. The sound with even wider dynamism can only be said to be “official”. “Gangland” and “Never Satisfied”, which could not be heard even in the masterpiece “BLACKJACK” that has represented Japan for the first time, were also shown, and the theme of the movie “2001: A Space Odyssey” that announces the start / end is completely recorded. This is an extremely live album that concentrates and reduces the golden age TYGERS OF PANG TANG, which goes far beyond the dimension of memories of the first visit to Japan.
