A legendary group of Glenn Hughes and the late Mel Galley, the late Dave Holland, TRAPEZE. A valuable live album that captured the prime of the moment appeared.
It is contained in this work “London performances on March 3, 1973”. It is a live album when it appeared on prestigious program “IN CONCERT” of prestigious BBC (broadcasting is March 31 at 18:30). Although this broadcasting was known for a long time, this work is a top quality item that overseas core manians selected the best master and further refined with remastering.
Actually, flowing out of this work is extremely sharp, glossy vintage sound. This program is supposed to be a concert type recording that puts audiences, but you can hardly hear big cheers, just like a studio live. It is not truly a bicabbic sound like an official album, but despite the recording of 45 years ago, distortion and deterioration are hardly felt thanks to polite mastering.
What is more wonderful is natural sound all the while. As a matter of fact, there are also some hiss noise, but it is a big right answer that did not force it out. He did not equalize such as to push out power, but focused on reproducing “sound of the time”. Even if you correct pitch and deterioration, it is a good sense of mastering that does not shave off the original microscopic dust. This confusion of consciousness is important for vintage recording. (Although it becomes a slightly distant analogy) In 1990 when Robert Johnson ‘s “THE COMPLETE RECORDINGS” symbolic of prewar blues was discovered, it has been lost to a tremendous noise reduction with a tremendous noise reduction, but in 2011 The “The CENTEN NIAL COLLECTION” that came out got acclaimed with the sound which utilized the gloss of the original while increasing the noise. The mastering of this work firmly feels the same aesthetic as that.
And, TRAPEZE which was revived with that sound is really wonderful. As a matter of fact, it is a program that is less than 30 minutes in all four songs, but there is absolutely no wearing with “LIVE WAY BACK TO THE BONE”. Alain · Black’s stage is being introduced in the most talked about the live performance “YOU ARE THE MUSIC … WE’RE JUST THE BAND”. It is wonderful that 3 songs from that masterpiece were performed and John Ogden of the percussionist who was only “What Is a Woman’s Role” in the album is also participating in all. John is making bigger fun clocks with big success comparable to Glen even in “You Are The Music (We’re Just The Band)” or “Way Back To The Bone”. And, the deed is famous piece of “MEDUSA” “Your Love Is Alright”. If Mel ‘s funky riff is also wonderful, Glenn’ s vocal is even better than the album, John ‘s percussion is amazing here as well.

In March 1973, Ian Pace and John Road were in contact with Glen, the TRAPEZE Golden Trio collapsed. However, the real value of Glen is definitely TRAPEZE rather than DEEP PURPLE. And although WHITESNAKE was waiting for Mel and Dave was waiting for the glory at JUDAS PRIEST, there were no other bands that they shone so far.
It is a legendary band that still retains his name as a pioneer of mixture rock, but if he was acting as a formal four player who joined John as it is, he may have left a huge footprint …. It is wonderful enough to be driven by such a delusion, a colorful fan clock is swirling one. TRAPEZE that showed the advance of rocking while foaming, glaring brightly. Setsuna of that golden age. Please have a glimpse of this work. A legendary group of Glenn Hughes and the late Mel Galley, the late Dave Holland, TRAPEZE. A valuable live album that captured the prime of the moment appeared.

WE’RE JUST THE BAND』の趣き。 ジョンは「You Are The Music (We’re Just The Band)」でも「Way Back To The Bone」でもグレンに匹敵するほどの大活躍で、ファンクロックをさらにカラフルにしている。そして、〆は『MEDUSA』の名曲「Your Love Is Alright」。
