More than 8 performances. From this tour, there are two sound board sound sources leaked from related parties, and this work is one of them. This sound board had a huge impact in the 90’s. After all, the quality is abnormal. Even the “completely official class” is no longer tepid, and the taste of direct connection is also superb. The thick and thick performance sound penetrates into the brain with footsteps, and even if you take one drum, the tom roll pans with an enormous stereo feeling, and a slight cymbal crash is also brilliant. You could feel the superb performance in the Nakano Sunplaza SBD “HEALING PRAYERS”, but here in Shinjuku SBD is even more complete. The Nakano Sunplaza SBD was a type where the core was bare or “there was only a core”, but this work was a line recording with the effects added to it, and a loud cheer You can feel the spectacle as you enter. If you can compare it sensuously, Nakano’s “Healing Prayers” is like a band in the brain, and Shinjuku SBD is like a stage in my head. It’s more of a preference than an excellence, but the one that is more musical and work is Shinjuku SBD.

【関係者から流出した伝説の超絶サウンドボード】
そんな本作に刻まれているのは「1994年11月22日：東京厚生年金会館」。その超極上ステレオ・サウンドボード録音です。当店では、かつて流出サウンドボードの大名盤『HEALING PRAYERS』をご紹介した事もありますが、本作はそれとは別のもの。まずは、その辺の事情をご説明するためにも当時のスケジュールからショウのポジションを確かめてみましょう。

以上、全８公演。このツアーからは関係者流出のサウンドボード音源が２本あり、本作はそのうちの１本なのです。このサウンドボードは90年代当時に巨大な衝撃を振りまいたもの。何しろ、クオリティが異常。もはや「完全オフィシャル級」でさえ生ぬるく、さらに卓直結系の旨みも超絶。骨太・肉厚な演奏音が土足でズカズカと脳内に入り込み、ドラム１つ取ってもタムロールは絶大なステレオ感でパンし、ちょっとしたシンバル・クラッシュも鮮烈。ギターに至ってはツインのハーモニーが美しいだけでなく、端々から差し込まれるサイクス特有のハーモニクスも恐ろしくシャープに沸き立つ。もちろん、これらはあくまで例に過ぎず、ヴォーカルもベースもキーボードも然り。すべてが鮮烈なのです。
その超絶ぶりは中野サンプラザSBD『HEALING PRAYERS』でも感じられましたが、新宿SBDのこちらはさらに完成度が高い。中野サンプラザSBDは、それこそ芯が丸出しと言いますか「芯しかない」ようなタイプでしたが、本作はそこにエフェクト類も加わった段階のライン録音で、（うっすらと）大歓声も入ってスペクタクルも感じられる。感覚的に喩えるなら中野の『HEALING PRAYERS』は脳内にバンドがいる感じであり、新宿SBDは頭の中がステージになった感じ。優劣と言うよりは好みの話なのですが、より音楽的・作品的なのは新宿SBDの方なのです。
【ブライアン・ダウニーも参加した再編リジィの最高傑作】
そして、本作はそんな伝説の新宿サウンドボードを最新マスタリングで磨き込んだもの。大元からして超絶なだけに「まるで別物」とまでは言えないものの、卓直結の分離感とダイナミズムは一層鮮やかになり、それに伴って会場スペクタクルの立体感まで広大に感じられる。「もし本当に公式リリースされていたら？」の妄想を現実の音として聴かせてくれるライヴアルバムに仕上がっているのです。
そんなサウンドで描かれるショウは、亡きフィルへの敬意に満ちた名曲集。サイクスが歌うTHIN LIZZYというと1999年のショウを記録した公式盤『ONE NIGHT ONLY』もありますが、CD１枚に押し込むためかフルショウとはほど遠いものでした。ここで、公式盤と比較しながらセットを整理してみましょう。

A complete studio demo of THIN LIZZY’s masterpiece last album “THUNDER AND LIGHTNING”, which was created to show the ending beauty as a band, with the participation of young blonde Prince Sykes! A CD-R of a studio demo of “THUNDER AND LIGHTNING”, which became the last album as a result of THIN LIZZY, who joined John Sykes, a guitarist of TYGERS OF PAN TANG. The studio demo of all nine songs included in the album, the mania’s famous unreleased song “DON’T LET IT SLIP AWAY” has two versions, and two tracks of John Sykes’ demo take Has been recorded.

イントロとエンディングの効果音がない。ヴォーカルのDELAY処理が違う。シンセのかぶせが最終ミックスに比べるとずいぶん足りない。ギター・ソロは同じテイクの模様。
2.BAD HABITS
肉声カウントからスタート。リフが入ってからのカウベルが入ってない。ヴォーカルにかかっているDELAYが全体的に浅い。ギター・ソロが違う（まだ未完成だったのか無いに等しい）。エンドがアルバムより長く入っている。
3.THIS IS THE ONE
ボーカルは完全に別テイク。イントロのギター・ノイズが入ってない。ギター・ソロ導入部分に、最終ミックスには無いフィルの「Ahhhh!」という叫びが入っている。エンドがアルバムより長く入っている。

TYGERS OF PAN TANGのギタリストだったジョン・サイクスを加入させたTHIN LIZZYの結果としてラスト・アルバムとなった『THUNDER AND LIGHTNING』のスタジオ・デモのCD-R。アルバムに収録されている9曲全てのスタジオ・デモに、マニアには有名な未発表曲である「DON’T LET IT SLIP AWAY」が2ヴァージョンと、そしてジョン・サイクスのデモ・テイクを2トラックを収録している。
まず「The Sun Goes Down」はカウントで始まるテイクで、オフィシャル・テイクで聴くことの出来るイントロの銅鑼の音のような効果音は入っていないし、全体的にフィルのベースが強調されたミックスとなっている。「Bad Habits」もやはりカウントで始まる。「This Is The One」もカウントから始まり、オフィシャル・テイクで聴くことの出来るイントロでのジョンのアーミング・ダウンするようなフレーズやイントロ部分でのバッキング・ソロなどがダビングされていない為、非常にシンプルな印象を受ける。「Thunder And Lightning」はイントロにおける雷鳴のような効果音はオフィシャルに比べて生々しいし、イントロでドラムのカウントが残っており、、ヴォーカルについてもフィルによるサビの部分が歌われていない他、ジョン・サイクスのギター・ソロも別テイクとなっている。「Cold Sweat」ではイントロのリフのバックでカウントが残っているし、ギター・サウンドもエフェクトの効きが弱い。何よりも違うのはフルのヴォーカルが明らかにデモ・テイクらしく歌詞や歌メロが異なっていることが一聴してわかる。「Baby Please Don’t Go」もカウントでスタートするが、イントロからジョンのギターがまだ入っていなしし、フィルのヴォーカルもバッキング含めて異なっている。「Heart Attack」はイントロの前のサウンド・ノイズが残っており、バッキング・ヴォーカルも異なっている。「Don’ Let It Slip Away #1, #2」はマニアの間では有名な未発表曲で、フィルの歌う歌詞が異なり若干#2のほうが長い。「The Holy War」はフィルのヴォーカルが入っていないバッキング・トラックで、ベース、ギター、ドラムのみでキーボードが入っていない。トラック12、13はジョン・サイクスによる初登場デモ・テイクで、まずトラック12は早めのテンポにセットしたリズム・マシーンをバックにリフとソロを弾き捲くる。トラック13はミディアム・テンポにセットしたリズム・マシーンをバックにフリー・フォームで弾き捲くる。
