Talking Heads’ 1983 live recording. Speaking of 1983, it is a tour that includes the highest peak of live documentary film “Stop Making Sense” directed by Jonathan Demme. This recording was performed at four performances at the Hollywood Pantages Theater from December 13th to 16th, and it is said that the footage from the two days of 14th and 15th is used. This time, the live performance will be released on the 16th, which is the final day of these four performances, and of course it is a performance that is not used in “Stop Making Sense”. It is a sound source that has not been edited like a movie the day after “Stop Making Sense”. This day is the last day to conclude the tour, and the band’s spirit is enough. In the audience recording, the performance itself is well recorded, although there are some parts where the applause is a little closer. Furthermore, the first set and the second set, which had different sound balances, have been carefully remastered separately.

トーキング・ヘッズの1983年のライヴ音源。1983年と言えばジョナサン・デミ監督による、ライヴ・ドキュメンタリー映画の最高峰『ストップ・メイキング・センス』が収録されたツアーです。この収録は12月の13日から16日にかけてのハリウッドのパンテージ・シアターでの四公演で行われており、14日15日の二日間からの映像が使われていると言われています。今回リリースされるのはこの四公演から最終日にあたる16日のライヴで、もちろん『ストップ・メイキング・センス』では使われていない演奏です。『ストップ・メイキング・センス』の翌日の、映画的編集が施されていない音源というわけです。この日はツアーを締めくくる最終日とありバンドの気合も十分です。オーディエンス録音で、やや拍手が近い部分もありますが演奏自体は良く録られています。さらに音のバランスが異なっていたファースト・セットとセカンド・セットは丁寧に別々のリマスタリング整えられています。
