Brian Setzer’s ultra superb soundboard series is the emergence of the latest bullet. This series is a live in Japan with a stakeholder outflow master brought on our own route. Ultra high grade sound unique to the stakeholders is shocking, and “TOKYO 2006 FINAL NIGHT (Zion – 119)” with THE NASH VILLAINS released the other day was also highly acclaimed.
This week, two such super fine series are simultaneously released. This work is a live album of “February 1, 2004 Index Osaka”. At this time, I participated in the winter festival “SONICMANIA 2004” with a trio in the name “BRIAN SETZER, SLIM JIM PHANTOM of STRAY CATS with MARK WINCHESTER”. It is Makuhari Messe on January 31st and all two performances in Osaka on February 1st, this work is the latter.

【Ultimate stereo sound board album】
This work which contained such a show is a super stereo sound board which can only say “Supreme”, “Ultimate”, “Supreme”. It is even more ambitious than “TOKYO 2006 FINAL NIGHT” in the middle of being extremely praised by saying clearly. It is the highest peak of direct desk system, it is super direct feeling as if you are playing in the brain directly by plunging the plug directly into your brain.
In addition, the desk crowd is often hard to feel realistic because the enthusiasm is crowded. Although it is often regarded as a defect, if you think so, this work can not be recommended (bitter smile). Even if you listen carefully well with headphones, the cheers are felt slightly, but that is also the ripple level in the far sea.
However, this is not a disadvantage. There is no real sense of presence at the live venue, but as far as it is thoroughly done so far, it is even fresh and it creates a violent synchro feeling with the band. That is the reason why you say that consciousness is drifting in the PA circuit regardless of the science fiction movie, or that your head has become the sound board table itself … …. Sound quality itself may be shouted “as if it is an official” with full power, but such unity feeling and immersive feeling can never be tasted by official work.
As a matter of fact, it is a recording that blew out the world as “BRING IT BACK AGAIN” once, but this time it is a CD from the original master. Although the direct sound quality itself of the class level is not much different, the coming out is better than the previous one, and the balance is heard accordingly. Especially the ringing in the middle range is neat and you will feel a more fierce “ringing” from one snare.

【Simple & Dynamic Trio Live】
The show ‘s drawn by that sound is fierce. Unfortunately Lee Rocker did not participate, but the contents of the show are undoubtedly STRAY CATS. A trio ensemble that is completely different from gorgeous BSO is a solid sold out. One shot, a stand drum of Slim · Jim · Phantom which drives wedge is tremendous force. To be honest it is also an impression that I am a bit sluggish, but it is a hard show that will transform it into a momentum “momentum”.
The set to draw with that ensemble, of course, the STRAY CATS expression. In 2004, the official live album “RUMBLE IN BRIXTON” comes up, but this work also has the same basic but I can not listen there “My One Desire” “Rev It Up And Go” “I Fought The Law” “Something Else” You will also show off. Even if you make it “Mystery Train”, of course it is live. In particular, “My One Desire” is one song not even in the huge “LIVE FROM EUROPE 2004” series. It is a masterpiece of a live album with a special content even though it is only Japanese performance.

Brian Setzer came to Japan with the name “STRAY CATS” for the first time in 12 years since 1992. A solid ensemble different from BSO and a live album where STRAY CATS ‘s famous songs burst on the super best sound board. BSO is also wonderful, but still “STRAY CATS” is special …… It is a super masterpiece of live in Japan that you want to taste such elder brother.

2004年というと公式ライヴアルバム『RUMBLE IN BRIXTON』が浮かびますが、本作も基本は同じながらそこでは聴けない「My One Desire」「Rev It Up And Go」「I Fought The Law」「Something Else」も披露してくれる。 特に「My One Desire」は、膨大な『LIVE FROM EUROPE 2004』シリーズにもない1曲。
