Legendary White Bruce Man, Steve Ray Vaughn. The official image of phantom that contained his only Japanese performance was decided as a gift release.
It was in 1985 that the SRV’s arrival in Japan was realized. Among them, “January 24, 1985: Shiba Postal Savings Kaikan” performance was recorded in Pro Shot, then released as “LIVE IN TOKYO” at VHS / Laser Disc. A half official DVD conversion was realized about 15 years ago, but it has been out of print for a long time. This work is a piece that reprinted the official video of such illusion with superb quality. First of all, let’s check the position of the show in the schedule of arrival in those days.

· January 20th: Osaka Health Pension Center
· January 21: Nagoya Kurodori Hall
· January 23: Shiba Postal Savings Hall
· January 24: Shiba Postal Savings Hall 【this work】
· January 25: Shiba Postal Savings Hall

Over all, 5 shows. Tokyo was a three day consecutive performance at Shiba Postal Savings Hall (present · Mielparque Hall), this work was a concert that was the middle day of that. This work which recorded such a show is exactly the best pro shot. Originally official work is absolutely perfect Official grade, master freshness is also the best. Unlike VHS wakeup, there are no dubbing marks and running unevenness of the tape, and there is no noise at all. Both video and audio are iron walls.
The quality depicted by that quality is SRV that fully enjoy the golden age. Although Elmore James’ cover “The Sky Is Crying” is not recorded yet, it is a complete compilation other than that. Including the last “Testify” that was cut on the Official Bootleg CD, you can fully enjoy it for about 86 minutes. The show is roughly divided into two, the first half is the latest work of the time “COULD NOT STAND THE WEATHER”, the second half is the repertoire of the Daimyo board “TEXAS FLOOD” and it performed. There is a style in which the new song “Say What!” Will be recorded in “SOUL TO SOUL”.
And SRV and DOUBLE TROUBLE who plays such a set is overwhelming. The golden ensemble with Chris Leighton & Tommy Shannon is on top of the “Scuttle Buttin ‘” which is riddled by the breeze wind and stirs his brains with a sense of stereo. I could not listen to the coolness of “Say What!” Which starts from there without starting, “Voodoo Chile” where the venue becomes turbulent only with the introduction of the wah wah, rich “Cold Shot” and the historical name board “LIVE ALIVE” The repertory pours into the cascade. In the latter half, it is even more rich, and you can not listen to “LIVE ALIVE” again “Mary Had A Little Lamb” “Love Struck Baby” “Texas Flood” also occurred repeatedly, the 12-minute “Lenny” also seems to be brisk with an uninterrupted tension A big performance like squeezing it up. “TEXAS FLOOD” enrichment reduction can be unfolded with super-superior quality.

SRV in Japan which ended with the vision of 5 performances only once. It is a cultural heritage grade pro shot that you can witness one of them with the ultimate official quality. A historical masterpiece image that will be the treasure of Japanese Western music history. Please, enjoy this plenty of opportunities.
