STUDIO QUO of 2015 who sent unplugged album “AQUOSTIC: STRIPPED BARE” to the top five in all 18 years and opened up a new world. That superb original recording appears.
Such a work is contained in “London performance on 30th April 2015”. It is an audience recording that vacuum packed overnight at the traditional venue “Royal Albert Hall (RAH)”. As usual, let’s first check the position of the show from the schedule of the time.

This is the outline of the activities of 2014/2015. I did not look back to the United States until it was fresh, I just traveled to my home country Britain and continental Europe. It is a style like STATUS QUO. In the meantime, the RAH performance of this work was a concert of six concerts of “UK # 2” which will be the second lap of the year.
This work, which recorded such a show, is a beautiful and neat, exquisite audience recording anyhow. It was the name recordingist who lives in London who recorded this work. In our shop “famous British masters” familiar with familiar, but also his collection is unrivaled beauty. Point is an elegant ringing of traditional venue RAH. The master knows how to combine the warmth of DAT recording with modern clearness, but its personality and the sound of RAH are causing exquisite chemical changes. The core which crisped clear clear space, penetrated, from which the slightly sounding like aura gives gloss. This beauty can not be an official decorated with a mix of acts even on the sound board of PA rounding out. Because it is a natural and beautiful venue, it is the most beautiful sound because it is a superb audience recording that records it at 100%.
And it exquisitely matches STATUS QUO of 2015. While the show is acoustic, the sharpness of the boogie playing throughout the band is as usual. While the attack sounds made with that mackerel are transmitted clearly, there is no thing enough even with a simple unplugged ringing. And, the sound of RAH makes six strings corps many times beautiful. Although it is a large household of 16 people in general, including support, it does not become a chunk but it conveys the taste of the acoustic show more than anything.
The show drawn with such a sound is “AQUOSTIC: STRIPPED BARE” of 100% edition. It was the first full acoustic album for STATUS QUO, but all 25 songs recorded in this work are played as well. Of course, the order of songs is rearranged to make undulations unique to the show, and the enthusiasm for this is because the performance is also raw. And the excitement of the venue that witnessed it is wonderful. Although the acoustic show tends to become monotonous with others, this work advances conscious boogies one after the other, the audience responds with a cheerful clapper, and a vast large chorus overlaps with a big hit song. It is wonderful to envy the feeling of breathing between STATUS QUO which is extremely popular in home country UK and the audience who continued to love over the years.
Anyway, it is a boogie album with a heart that boasts a beautiful, realistic sense of the place. STATUS QUO is still active at the moment, but the following year (2016) Rick · Perfit is an infectious disease caused by shoulder injury and the other world. I have never heard the front line with Francis Rossi over 50 years. An unplugged show where the whole body is enveloped with happiness as if it were waiting for such a future. そんなショウを記録した本作は、とにかく美麗で端正な極上のオーディエンス録音。本作を記録したのはロンドン在住の名録音家。当店では“英国の巨匠”でお馴染みの名手なのですが、彼のコレクションでも絶品の美しさ。ポイントは伝統会場RAHの上品な鳴り。巨匠はDAT録音の暖かみと現代的なクリアさを両立される方ですが、その個性とRAHの音響が絶妙な化学変化を起こしているのです。クリアに透き通った空間をキリッとした芯が貫き、そこからオーラのようにほんのりとした鳴りが艶を与えている。この美しさは、ＰＡ丸出しのサウンドボードでも作為のミックスで飾ったオフィシャルでもあり得ない。自然で美しい名会場だからこそ、それを100％本生で記録する極上オーディエンス録音だからこその美音なのです。
そして、それが2015年のSTATUS QUOに絶妙にマッチしている。ショウはアコースティックでありながらバンド全体で奏でるブギの鋭さはいつも通り。そのキビキビとしたアタック音がクリアに伝わりつつ、素朴なアンプラグドの鳴りでも物足りなさがない。そして、RAHの音響によって６人のストリングス隊が何倍も美しくなる。サポートも含め、総勢16人もの大所帯でありながら塊にならず、アコースティック・ショウの旨みをこれ以上なく伝えてくれるのです。
そんなサウンドで描かれるショウは、本生100％版の『AQUOSTIC: STRIPPED BARE』。STATUS QUOにとって初の完全アコースティック・アルバムだったわけですが、本作でも収録されていた全25曲がすべて演奏されるのです。もちろん、曲順はショウならではの起伏を作るように並び替えられ、演奏も生だからこその熱気が宿る。そして、それを目の当たりにしている会場の盛り上がりが素晴らしい。アコースティック・ショウはともすれば単調にもなってしまいがちですが、本作は軽快なブギを次々と繰り出し、観客も快活な手拍子で応え、大ヒット曲に広大な大合唱が重なる。母国イギリスで絶大な人気を誇るSTATUS QUOと、長年に渡って愛し続けた観客との呼吸感が羨ましいほどに素晴らしいのです。
