1978年ダークネス・ツアーから終盤の12月20日、ワシントン公演を素晴らしい音質のオーディエンス録音にて収録しています。このワシントン公演の前にはクリスタル・キャットの名盤『Paramount Night』のポートランド公演が行われたので、このショウがどれほど熱いステージなのかはそれだけで想像していただけるのではないでしょうか。実際、この日のショウはダークネス・ツアー終盤ならではのハイ・ボルテージなステージとなり、何といっても極めつけはアンコールのハプニングでしょう。いつものように、最後を「Quarter To Three」で締めくくり、会場の客電が点いてこの日のショウが終わり、会場が撤収を始めた頃、こともあろうにブルースが再び登場して文字通りのサプライズ・アンコールを行った伝説のショウだったのです。
その凄まじいショウをモノラルながら最高にクリアーな音質で収録したのが今回の音源です。この音源はその『Paramount Night』にもボーナス・トラックとして収録されただけでなく、過去にプレスCD『Pretty Flamingo』、CD-R『This Is For The Crazies』というタイトルでそれぞれ全長版がリリースされていました。しかし今回は、これまたJEMSがマスター・リールから新たにトランスファーしたものを元にしているので、元々クリアーな音質の録音が過去最高の音質を実現しています。
惜しむらくは、テーパーのミスで冒頭の二曲の録音がそれぞれ不完全に終わってしまったことでしょう。その為、過去にリリースされたアイテムはどちらもその二曲をポートランド公演など、別の公演の演奏に差し替えてしまっていました。しかし、今回はその不完全な状態を敢えて潔く収録し、他の日の演奏が混ざらない、元の音源に忠実な状態でのリリースが実現。確かに、その録音ミスさえなければプレスのディスクでリリース出来るのでは、と思える音質ですが、この過去最高の音質(特に『Paramount Night』のボーナス部分との音質の差は顕著です)と、この日の演奏の素晴らしさで、Cきっとご満足していただける仕上がりとなっています。間違いなく、この日の決定版といえるでしょう!

★2011年に限定リリースされ、ファン・メディアから高い評価を受けたタイトルが、嬉しいギフトアイテムとして再リリース決定です。
