ダークネス・ツアーの最初期である5月のレグは、これまでツアー初日であるバッファロー公演のCD-Rがリリースされていた程度だったので、ファンの間での認識が極端に低かった。しかし、そのバッファロー以外には音質がなかなか良好な音源もいくつか存在する。そんな中でもこのボストン三夜連続公演から三日目を捉えたステレオ・オーディエンス録音はツアー序盤中で最高音質を誇る。それにもかかわらず、これまではトレードCD-Rにファンが手製カバーを付けたレベルの『LOOKING FOR THAT MILLION DOLLOR SOUND』しかリリースされて(しかも十年前に)いただけとは驚きだ。演奏が大きく捉えられていて、しかも広がりのあるクリアーな音質は、クリスタル・キャットでもリリース出来たのではと思うほど。しかも、そのCD-Rがそうだったように、せっかく高音質ながらもピッチが低いという持病があり、今回はそれを補正した上で収録してくれているのが嬉しい。それになんと言っても、随所でツアー初期ならではのアレンジや構成が楽しめ、特に「Prove It All Night」のキーを上げたアレンジは、後の元のキーに戻したアレンジを聴きなれた耳にひどく変わった演奏として響くことだろう。それに全体的に軽やかに演奏されているのがまたツアー初期らしい。そしてその素晴らしい音質や貴重な内容だけでなく、遂にツアー初期の音源がプレスのディスクでリリースされたという点が非常に画期的である。ようやく登場したツアー初期の決定盤タイトルといえ、ダークネス・ボックスのツアー終盤であるヒューストン公演を親しんだ初心者などでも楽しめること請け合いの貴重音源だ。
