As the first step of DARKER THAN BLUE label memorable, appearing and whether or all of RAINBOW / Ritchie Blackmore sound board sound source fans resulted in a sensational topic, it was through a time of five years now, a new life to give to it is imposing revival of! Budokan performances of August 28 to be the last day from ’81 years Japan tour of RAINBOW, the whole picture becomes clear in the “TOTAL SURRENDER” which was recently released, also we have gotten very popular among fans soon. Pattern of the August 28, once “SURRENDER DOCUMENT” is revived in modern times by the sound board sound source appeared as soon as it is widely known to fans as “essential live in understanding the Japan tour” became. This time is newly unearthed further higher master than the tape that became the material of its “SURRENDER DOCUMENT”, further by performing the treatments work with the latest technology, worthy to bear the name of the “Definitive”, the masterpiece of We are playing an upgrade to on several stages along with the quality.

Old board “SURRENDER DOCUMENT” is, even more than its impact resistance, overwhelming high-quality sound that even the break-Ritchie of light finger was heard in clear and direct is, has become the grass and talking among fans today. Therefore, it might seem suspicious and “any more than the sound should not be better”, compared to listen to and there and this time appeared the board of the difference in sound is clear, but the difference between the master advanced remastered sound quality improvement of by technology, you clearly feel on especially in the reduction of hiss content in the “Lazy” and “Catch The Rainbow”. You might think that the very fine professional comparison, but when look back carefully the older movies after listening to this panel, “here also, no there also” in tone, such as, the noise Ya also in previous work, which is a masterpiece You will be reminded that the cloudiness of sound there were many surprisingly. Effect of sound quality correction is also clear, bass, which has been an overall patter is to heavy sound with a tight and zap, originally missing was good treble also is honed to a piece of sound, colorful and transparent feeling of this era There has been refined musical tone to more favor sound image of the. As seems the tone one really is corny phrase “official class”, this work has been cut this special overnight exceptional ultra-high sound quality. By RAINBOW fan does not listen to this work, it will because listening to what the heck! ?

Listen who guitar Richie which captivated all but not to no longer mention again, “Spotlight Kid” and “Love’s No Friend” in the presence and play of him also drum Bobby Rondineri was slightly off feeling in the former record The are regained, such as the second half of the drum solo has been waging a ferocious force about likely changes the view to his. Fresh voice of Joe is “I Surrender” and “Man On The Silver Mountain”, further became the last for RAINBOW “Lost In Hollywood”, I feel the more supple youthful charm. Also in the “TOTAL SURRENDER” In somewhat listening it takes hard to was based notebook also of Roger Glover in “Catch The Rainbow”, “Can not Happen Here”, will vividly portrays the play eye to the previous. Keyboard of Don Airey became the last of the big job in this Japan tour virtually RAINBOW, when listen to the sound quality of this work is heard and tinged with even more gorgeous color, fantastic world of “Catch The Rainbow” in “Lost In Hollywood”, such as the creation of the front and rear of spacey sound space, he is the magnitude of the contribution played by RAINBOW, you can assert that thing called arranged in successive singer. In particular, “Difficult To Cure” keyboard handling is nothing short of superb without in, and dull of technology backed by a gorgeous tone and veteran of the carrier “also keyboard worthy of RAINBOW is only Don Airey!”, It is groan again would.

From it also this time excavated the master recording in the middle of the previous similar “Long Live Rock ‘N’ Roll” has been completed, it is not forced to think and unfortunately after this material has been lost. However, in its outstanding was a fade-out in the master stage, “Long Live Rock’N’Roll” last is, this material had been recorded continuously until the end-of-tape. In this work we respect it, and without being subjected to the fade processing is also carrying Onban reduction, it was recorded remains of material. You might Pata~tsu and performance is puzzled to that disappear in the middle of a song, but although this by there is a slightly, has been increasing Duration than the previous.

Speaking of Budokan performances sound board of RAINBOW, eternal masterpiece that contains the ’76 years of Ronnie era “WHEN EVENING FALLS” it is recalled. Although this work has changed what musical direction and there, as one of the shades of the same “seven colors of the rainbow”, it has shot a compare favorably shine and glamor to the former great masterpiece! The high-quality audience recording of “TOTAL SURRENDER” is a document August 28, ’81 “audience Edition” If so, this work will be positioned in the “Stage Edition” that form it a pair. While imagine the cries and voices of the rounded audience listening in “TOTAL SURRENDER”, it is also fun to listen to the enthusiastic performance of the band that unfolds in front of the eye. In this way, by listening while comparing both rather, it’ll be more dense understanding of this Budokan last day performances.
This Budokan thing of course is towards the non-hearing the sound board sound source, I would like to touch on this work in the hope that is in contact with the brand new one for those who you have an old van. Historical sound source carve his name in hard rock history is the release determined by the Limited Press CD!

It was released in 2004 “SURRENDER DOCUMENTS” (DARKER THAN BLUE: 1CD) to those than the tape that was used the tape close to the master tape was re-master is pressed on CD, and was conducted in August 1981 Japan performances – the last day – the 28-day Tokyo – stage at Nippon Budokan again, reborn from the tape of the best sound quality of stereo sound board recording.
1981, is a Japan tour of the last day of Joe Lynn Turner became the fourth time of RAINBOW, which joined the vocals, the stage of this day, realistic decorate the opening from the “Spotlight Kid” in like clear, such as the Official surprised to me to hear in such a sound. All the play of the jaws of the vocal and band Newest it is possible to listen to clear, the still ear to be able to Richie’s finger to listen to the noise, such as sliding a finger board is familiar with the audience recording is a fresh Great. Do feel frustrating the speed to play in the band, Tomosureba feel the energy, such as spurting to Richie to deploy a run downside solo. From playing the “Man On The Silver Mountain” In Richie promise of “Lazy”, to start the intro. While measure the timing at break even here,’s a best scene to start playing it again raise the key, guitar solo is also the first half of it can be seen that is playing without bankruptcy at the last minute of the level. To be said “Catch The Rainbow” was also shortened compared to the 70’s Ronnie era, still glad enthusiastically for more than 10 minutes. From this year Don Airey solo that was the last as the time of enrollment RAINBOW, but “Lost In Hollywood” is played, Ritchie in backing, indeed, only while interweaving the phrase no so called seems, I me like to hear the play as if playing the solo. To be continued, it is possible to enjoy the splendor of stereo sound board recording sound of tremendous solo Richie is to pan from side to side in the solo. “A light In The Black” is bout play from solo, and nostalgic when listening “Difficult To Cure” to the subsequent deployment even now. From Bob’s drum solo, to “Long Live Rock’n’Roll” which has been recorded in the last is played by entangled Ritchie seems phrase in the intro, although playing while taking advantage of the original melody in the guitar solo , regrettably fade-out in the second half. Although completely not a recording, to would not be asked any more of those, by all means, I want you to listen as the final form of the items that was recorded the stage of the day in the best sound quality.

ジョーの瑞々しい歌声は「I Surrender」や「Man On The Silver Mountain」、さらにRAINBOWにとって最後になった「Lost In Hollywood」で、よりしなやかな若々しい魅力を感じさせます。

「Man On The Silver Mountain」ではリッチーがお約束の「Lazy」を弾いてから、イントロをスタート。 ソロから「A light In The Black」がひとしきりプレイされ、「Difficult To Cure」に続く展開も今聴くと懐かしい。
