1973年1月15日、ストーク公演をサウンドボード録音で収録。古くからパッケージ化されて来た本音源ですが、今回は、リールで録音されたといわれるマスター・テープからの新たな1GENコピーを使用しており、非常にナチュラルで、バランスのとれた理想的なサウンドになっています。まるで目の前で演奏されているような生々しくダイレクトな音像です！ピッチの補正も完璧に施しており、現時点で最良音源の初デジタル化と言えるでしょう！（The Song Remains The Sameカット・アウト、The Rain Songカット・イン、Whole Lotta Loveカット・インは既発同様です）1989年リリースのRockin’レコード系列の「Live In Stoke England Vol. 1 & Vol. 2（Pageboys）」（CD最初期に75ダラスやTwin Eagleという変名レーベルで80年Zurichをリリース）は、曲順が変更、テープ・スピードが速く、所々テープのヨレもある音源でした。その後、「Nasty～」というSBDコンピで一部分がアップ・グレードされた音源が出され、「Stoker」でほぼコンサート全体を収録した物が世に出回る事になります。ほぼ同じ年度にIQが始まり、その第１弾となる「Broken Fingers」は既発には無いカットが多く決定盤とはなりませんでした・・・。その後の「Dedicated To Rizzlers (Equinox)」は、最初のバージョンで、曲順こそ合ってきましたが、テープのヨレは改善される事はなく、リリースされてきました。この時点では「Stoker」と「Dedicated To Rizzlers 」がベストとされました。2001年に、ネットの普及と共に、LZ-Treeから突如1stGen->DAT->CDRがメールで登録してCDRコピーを郵送するというトレードで配布されます。（数年後には、音楽共有サイトに上がる様になり一般に普及されていきます）この1GENはカセットではなく、リールの1GENとされており音源自体はピッチが微妙に早く、ヨレもありますが、長らくトレーダー間では決定盤という事になっていました。（この音源で初めて履歴のまともな音が配布されたという意味においても重要なものとされました）2004年には、ZEPのリマスターを多く手掛けてるWinstonから1stGenCassette>DAT>CDR3>Remaster>Flac という音源がネット上で発表され、これはLz-Treeとは違う1GENのカセットからピッチ修正、ヨレ補正、EQによる音質補正がされた物で、ネット上では、これが今度は決定盤になりました。*同時に本公演音源には、様々な形の1GENコピーが存在する事も判り始めて来ました。（内容は良いのですがWinstonのストレート・コピーで海外での評判が悪いアイテムも存在しました）2006年には新バージョンタイプの「Trentham～」（マスター・リールからのコピーか、別の1genクラスのLowGen？）がリリースされます。前日リヴァプール公演まで絶不調だったプラントが、いきなり蘇ったZEP史上名演といわれるストーク公演を、weedwackerが入手した新たな1GENテープを使用し、理想的なサウンドでパッケージしたファン必携のアイテムが、海外より200枚限定プレスCDにてリリース決定です！
1973年1月15日のストーク公演をお馴染みのサウンドボード音源にて収録しており、今回はこの5月にネット上で出回った1stジェネ・カセットをマスターとしたものが使われている。この音源に関する出回り状況については、本品のリリース元のインフォメーションに詳しく記されているが、音源入手の手段がブートレッグからネット上でのファイル交換へとシフトした今日において、気になるのはネット上で決定盤とされる”Winston Remasters”による『Voodoo In The Gardens』との違いとなるだろう。ということで『Voodoo In The Gardens』と聴き比べてみると、リマスターが施されているか否かということが決定的に異なっており、『Voodoo In The Gardens』の音は多少クリアな印象を受ける反面、本品を聴いた後では如何にもイコライジングで処理したようなドンリャリ感も漂って来るだろう。どちらの音を好むかは人それぞれだろうが、少なくとも良い意味でアナログ系の音を好む人には間違いなく本品の方が適しているだろうし、マザー・テープの音にも近いのではないだろうか。但し、「The Song Remains The Same」のカット・アウト、「The Rain Song」のカット・イン、「Stairway To Heaven」のカット・アウト、「Whole Lotta Love」のカット・イン、及び「Everybody’s Needs Somebody To Love」の出だしと「Whole Lotta Love」に戻る箇所におけるテープのヨレは相変わらずである。プレス盤。
