Kingとの共演を聴く事ができます。ウルトラ･クリアーに録音されたボノのボーカルは勿論、理想的なサウンド･バランスでダイレクト感いっぱいに収録されたバンドサウンド、その全てを、究極とも言える極上サウンドで収録しています。この日はＭＣで、日本人の同時通訳がフィーチャーされていますが、これはこの横浜公演のみの試みでしたので、今となっては貴重な記録と言えるでしょう。まさにこのツアーだけの聴き所に満ちた本公演のセットを、普通に聞いていればサウンドボード録音にしか聴こえない大別格のサウンドで、たっぷりと堪能することができます。世界のU2ファン驚愕！1989年日本ツアーを代表する超高品質タイトルが限定プレスCDにて、Wardourレーベルからリリース決定です。

B.B.キングとの競演となった”Love Comes To Town Tour”の一環として1989年に実現した通算2度目の来日公演より、その初日にあたる横浜アリーナ公演を収録。今回、既発とは別のオーディエンス・ソースで更にファイハイ度を増した大変素晴らしい音像にて捉えられている。このソースは既にU2専門のトレントサイトにて「Love Comes To Japan」のタイトルであがっているものの、それと比べても明らかにクリアーで広がりに満ちた音質で収録されているから驚きだ。
このソースではオープニングのBGMである「All You Need Is Love」と「Where The Streets Have No Name」のイントロの数秒が録音されていないため、既発盤「When Love Comes To Town 1989」で補われているのが特徴だが、その編集も実に丁寧で絶妙な仕上がりとなっている。この公演では日本人がボノのMCに割り込んで通訳をしているのだが、あまり効果がなかったためか他の公演出は止めてしまったことも今となっては懐かしい。また、この公演は機材の到着に遅れが生じたことから演奏曲が予定より少なく鳴ったが、それだけに演奏の密度は高い。ボノのドスの効いたボーカルの迫力はやはりこの時期がピークだったのだ。なお、前座で素晴らしい演奏を披露したBBキング・バンドだが、U2のステージではまず「Angel Of Harlem」にバックバンドがBBキング・オーケストラとして加わり、盛り上がった所でBBキング本人が登場して「When Love Comes To Town」と「Love Rescue Me」を演奏している。
