1979年日本ツアーより最終日、9月29日東京後楽園ホール公演を高音質オーディエンス録音で収録。トレーダー間でも一切出回っていない激レア･マスター･カセットをダイレクトに使用。安定した音像を誇る分離感抜群の生々しい高音質サウンドで30年前に行われた東京最終公演を堪能することができます。ゲイリー・ムーアの脱退により、セカンド･ギタリストとしてミッジ･ユーロを加入させてツアーを行っていたシン・リジーですが、この日本ツアーでは、セカンド･ギターに元マンフレッド・マン・バンドのデイヴ・フレット、そしてミッジ・ユーロがキーボードとギターを担当するという５人編成でのライブが行われました。選曲的には「Live And Dangerous」の黄金期ナンバーと新作「Black Rose」から３曲、更には次作「Chinatown」に収録されるツイン・リードが素晴らしいSweetheartやフィルのエモーショナルなボーカルが感動的なDidn’t Iが演奏されています。Don’t Believe A Word終演後のチューニング音はリアルで生々しいムードを伝えます。Do Anything You Want ToやGot To Give It Upではミッジのキーボードがフィーチャーされておりそれまでのシン･リジーとは一風変わった音像になっています。８分を上回るStill In Love With You の感動的なボーカル･パフォーマンスと情感に訴えるロングギターソロはこの日のピークを造り出し聴き手の心を揺さぶります。後半ドラムソロに続いての９分に及ぶお馴染みBaby Drives Me Crazyではメンバー紹介やフィルの掛け合いで場内が一体となったムードを楽しめます。アンコールRosalieの冒頭で一瞬音が小さくなりますが、直ぐに復調します。Emerald の1:26でテープ反転によるカットがある以外は初登場のアンコールテイクRosalieも含め、ショウの全貌を完全収録しています。全編を通して、カリスマ性に満ちた存在感抜群のフィルのボーカルとベースプレイを、リアルなサウンドでたっぷりと堪能できる感動の一枚。

THIN LIZZYとして初来日となった79年公演。直前の全米ツアーでゲイリー・ムーアが脱退をしてしまったため、急遽ミッジ・ユーロ、デイブ・フレットを加えての急造編成となったのは有名な話だが、その来日公演からツアー最終日となる9月29日東京後楽園ホールの模様を完全オーディエンス収録、音場は遠いものの、小ホールとしての臨場感は抜群な内容だ。名作『Black Rose』アルバム発売後、その核であったムーアを失ったバンドにとっては不徳なラインナップではあったろうが、フィル・ライノットのパフォーマンスに不備は見られず、シュアなスコット・ゴーハムのギター、ブライアン・ダウニーの素晴らしいドラム捌きも堪能できる。またテンポラリーに加入を果たしたフレットのギターも、Waiting For An Alibiにおけるムーア高速フレーズなどを見事にこなしており、ツインリードとしての調べに不備はない。そのフレットの加入によりユーロがトリプルギター、またはキーボードを担うようになっており、大きくフィーチュアされるGot To Give It UpやDidn’t I（次アルバム『Chinatown』に収録）などは、これまでのバンドのサウンドとしては異色な仕上がりとなっているのはこの時期ならではのものと云えるだろう。そうしたアンサンブルが見事に作用しているのはこの日のハイライトでもある Still In Love With Youで、ライノットの幾分か感傷的なヴォーカルを完璧にサポートしている。ステージ後半は黄金期ともいえる『Live and Dangerous』アルバムからのリストを中心に、アイリッシュを代表するバンドとしての叙情性と意地を爆発させる。バンド結成当時からライノットを失った現在に至るまで、メンバーは変われど、その根底に流れる一貫性は永久に不滅である。良タイトル。
