This work can be promoted to the widest range of enthusiasts among the arrivals this time. First of all, not only the whole story is recorded on the sound board, but only the four performances that are organized are smartly organized. In addition, the opening is Shea Stadium, one of the most important performances in the Beatles’ live history.
However, the share soundboard recording was in its raw state before it was modified for the movie, and even the Beatles and the recording staff struggled to cope with the still immature rock concert in the huge stadium. That is a literal document. Also, the jacket has the wrong credit “I Wanna Be Your Man”, but of course Ringo sang “Act Naturally” on that day, and you can hear the precious live performance.

Next recorded is Atlanta, which is prestigious as a 1965 American tour masterpiece. It is said that it led to a good performance because the equipment of the sound system was solid unlike the share. On the other hand, the fact that it was an early PA-out sound board for rock concerts and the sound was distorted as a whole seems to have been bought for the vigorous performance of the day.
Also, unlike the share that was under pressure to record video, the fact that we went up to the stage of the venue with excellent sound without such restrictions may have led to this wonderful performance.
And it seems that one of the factors is that their performances were properly distributed to the audience seats, and the audience is not only screaming but also feeling good and exciting. ..

The second piece recorded the two performances of the Sam Houston Coliseum with excellent sound quality. Share and Atlanta were soundboards with a more or less rough texture, but this one is easier to hear with a more sophisticated balanced monaural soundboard recording.
Regarding the sound source of the day, the memory that the latest best version “SAM HOUSTON COLISEUM 1965 UPGRADE” that was restored exactly was released is also new, but while it was corrected to real monaural, here Is recorded with the old-fashioned slightly pseudo-stereo-like texture. It’s perfect for enthusiasts who want to hear Sam Houston with an old-fashioned texture.
And unlike Share and Atlanta, John’s voice got sick when it came to the second show because it was performed twice a day, but the vigorous performance was still enough to hear.

今回入荷した中ではもっとも幅広いマニア層に進められるのが本作。まず全編がサウンドボード録音というだけでなく、まとまった四公演のみがスマートにまとめられているということ。おまけにその冒頭を飾るのはビートルズのライブ史における最重要公演の一つであるシェア・スタジアム。
もっともシェアのサウンドボード録音は映画用に修正が加えられる前の生のままの状態であり、巨大なスタジアムでまだまだ未熟なロックコンサートに対する対応に四苦八苦しながらビートルズや録音スタッフの悪戦苦闘まで捉えられたという、文字通りのドキュメント。またジャケには「I Wanna Be Your Man」と誤ったクレジットが記されていますが、もちろんこの日リンゴが歌ったのは「Act Naturally」であり、その貴重なライブ演奏が聞かれます。

次に収録されているのは1965年アメリカ・ツアー名演との誉れ高きアトランタ。シェアと違い音響システムの設備がしっかりしていたことから快演へと結びついたと言われています。一方でロックコンサートにおける初期のPAアウトのサウンドボードであり全体的に音がギスギスと歪んでいる点も、この日の気迫あふれた演奏に一躍買っているのではと思えるほど。
また映像収録というプレッシャーのあったシェアと違い、そうした制約がない上で音響の優れた会場のステージに上がったということも、この素晴らしい演奏へと結びついたのかもしれません。
そして彼らの演奏がちゃんと客席にも行き渡っていたということも要因の一つだと思われ、オーディエンスもただ絶叫するだけでなくイイ感じに盛り上がっている様子まで伝わってくる65年アメリカ屈指の名音源。

二枚目はサム・ヒューストン・コロシアムの二回公演を素晴らしい音質にて収録。シェアやアトランタは大なり小なりラフな質感のあるサウンドボードでしたが、こちらはもっと洗練されたバランスのモノラル・サウンドボード録音で聞きやすい。
この日の音源に関してはきっちりとレストアの施された最新ベストバージョンである「SAM HOUSTON COLISEUM 1965 UPGRADE」がリリースされた記憶も新しいところですが、そちらがリアルモノラルに修正されていたのに対し、こちらは旧来の微妙に疑似ステレオっぽい質感のままで収録されています。昔ながらの質感でサム・ヒューストンを聞きたいマニアには打ってつけかと。
そしてシェアやアトランタと違い一日二回公演ということからセカンドショーになるとジョンの声の調子が悪くなってしまいますが、それでも勢いのある演奏は聞き応え十分。
