In PURPLE CHICK’s “LIVE” series, the 1964 US tour was divided into two titles. The first half was titled “SEATTLE DOWN”, but the sound quality of the audience recording of the Seattle performance, which was the name of the title, was not good enough, so the press CD was postponed. In fact, Seattle has the worst 3 sound quality in the Beatles audience recording, and compared to that, the Dutch performance of “ADELAIDE REACTION”, which was the same 64 years, was far more audible.

Because of that, the press CDs by overseas labels were limited to “CONVENTION HALL WISDOM” in the latter half of the US tour, but after all, here is the classic “whiskey flat” from the analog era in September. A sound board called the Philadelphia performance is recorded. It seems to be different from Philadelphia according to the latest research, but it is still the best sound board on the tour with wonderful performances.

Following that, Indianapolis recorded on the first piece is a sound board recording excavated in the CD era, but by combining these two, the first piece alone is a famous sound board of the 1964 American tour. It is a fulfilling content that summarizes.

In that respect, the first half of the second piece is a collection of fragmentary sound sources and Montreal, which is inferior in sound quality to the first sound source in terms of sound quality, although it is a sound board. There is even a Bimyo sound source called the New Orleans performance of a sound board that is in a state of being stopped so that only “MC” between live songs can be heard more than those d.

It is undeniable that these parts are for enthusiasts, but at the same time, the great thing about this series is that they carefully put together these Bimyo sound sources.

However, in the latter half of the second piece, excellent sound boards such as the TV program “SHINDIG!” And the 1965 New Musical Express popularity voting concert appeared together. Strictly speaking, the former was an elaborate sound source in which only songs were live using takes recorded for the program rather than live performances, but I heard a valuable repertoire such as “Kansas City / Hey Hey Hey Hey”. It is attractive to be.

And at the NME popularity voting concert, it is one of the famous performances in the 1965 live that the newly introduced repertoire is played with high tension, and it is enough to hear with good sound quality. In this way, the ratio of the excellent sound source of the sound board is large in total, and it is a masterpiece that has only been made into a press CD with “SEATTLE DOWN”.
