Rally Gallagher of the early 70’s who dissolved TASTE and turned to solo. The super best stereo sound board album is appearance.
There are four types of live included in this work. It is a decision board that bonus recorded 2 kinds of super valuable audience recordings mainly with 2 kinds of the highest peak version of the BBC sound board which becomes a large standard. The biggest point is the BBC session. The official “BBC SESSIONS” has been released, but only one song will suffer from it. Moreover, the quality is the ultimate. It is a transcendental quality that is completely official. Anyway, let’s introduce each sound source individually.

【Disc 1: BBC Sound Board (July 13, 1972)】
First appeared in the 1972 BBC appearances. It is a stereo sound board recorded on “July 13” which is about two months after “LIVE IN EUROPE” release. It is a large standard sound source that has produced many air check boots, but the quality of this work is completely another dimension. It is extremely refined that you want to arrange three or four “super”. That should be it, this work is directly digitized from BBC’s transcription disk “CN1597 / S” which is the origin.
Moreover, it’s not just an original copy. It is the person concerned of those days what I possessed. Of course, the broadcast is unused, and because it is strictly stored, the state is also super-superior. Only the master of such a miracle, the process of digitization is extremely precise. Roughly speaking, professional digitization. Cartridges, amps, cables and other equipment are also high-end professional specifications, and engineers are also professional. A lustrous playback sound without even one needle pachi, which is the fate of analog wakeup, is realized. Usually, analog generation is to perform noise processing after digitizing, but this work is noiseless with the playback sound as it is. The super beautiful sound is vacuum-packed as it is.
What is drawn by that sound is the wonderfulness that can be said as “another LIVE IN EUROPE”. Eight songs will be played, but only “Tore Down” is adopted in the official “BBC SESSIONS”. Especially, “Used To Be” “The Cuckoo” is a delicious repertoire that can not be heard in “LIVE IN EUROPE”. And above all, playing. Decide picking harmonics from the nok, listen to slides, dobros, acoustic and weird play. “LIVE IN EUROPE” was the moment of the break that marked 9th on the UK chart, but the momentum is absorbed in plenty.

【Disc 2: BBC sound board (August 12, 1971)】
Disc 2 instead is a 1971 appearance. This is the stereo sound board of “July 13” which is about three months after the debut work “RORY GALLAGHER” release. This quality is also exceptional & best. Similar to Disc 1, it is a professional digitization from a transcript disk “CN1509 / S” for stakeholder storage.
I do not repeat about the sound that is too steely, but the show is even more delicious. Although this was a short broadcast of only 4 songs, it was not recorded at all in the official “BBC SESSIONS”. Furthermore, the contents are also delicious. After all “Dube” “Maybe I Will” “Crest Of A Wave” of “DEUCE” which can not be heard in “LIVE IN EUROPE” is performed, and there is no cover of the music in 1972 recording of Disc 1. As a matter of fact, there is a gap of about one year between Disc 1 and this work, but there are also cases where the members are the same, and there is no sense of incongruity even if it is heard as a series of 2-disc live albums. Of course, playing is also hot. Assuming that Disc 1 is a full-blown sense of breakthrough, the spirit of the solo debut immediately comes out of the speaker. If you listen continuously to Disc 1, it will exceed “another LIVE IN EUROPE”. It is a super-named board that has been expanded further.

【Disc 2: Valuable Bonus Tracks】
After two such super-superior stereo sound boards, there are also two bonus tracks for mania. One is the audience recording of “June 24, 1972 London performance”. It is a short recording of about 26 minutes (4 songs), but “Kings Cross Cinema”, which has become a scene, is a record when it appeared in a concert held all night after the screening of a movie. So I say the atmosphere is unique, I feel a bit unusual, but the heat of performance is comparable to BBC and “LIVE IN EUROPE”. Although this recording itself is very valuable, the contents are super rare recording extremely maniac.
The last is even more valuable. It is an audience recording of “Same Old Story” recorded in the “1970 Duesseldorf performance” which will be the end of TASTE. This is a quality that is hard to say the best, but TASTE’s audience recording is very valuable. Although the date is unknown, you can experience the bottom line of the TASTE in 1970, which is said to have been asked five times on the Isle of Wight.

Anyway, the highest peak and ultimate sound ever drawn out from the BBC masters that the related parties had kept are overwhelming. Rather than comparable to that historic masterpiece “LIVE IN EUROPE”, it is a super masterpiece that goes beyond it. A two-disc set that will no longer be official / informal and become British Rock’s cultural heritage. It is a permanent preservation decision with the press 2CD whose radiance is not faded forever.

TASTEを解散させ、ソロに転身した70年代初頭のロリー・ギャラガー。その超極上ステレオサウンドボード・アルバムが登場です。
本作に収められているライヴは４種。大定番となるBBCサウンドボードの最高峰版２種をメインに、超貴重なオーディエンス録音２種をボーナス収録した決定盤です。最大のポイントは、何と言ってもBBCセッション。オフィシャルでも『BBC SESSIONS』がリリースされていますが、それと被るのは１曲のみ。しかも、クオリティが究極。完全オフィシャル級の超絶クオリティなのです。何はともあれ、各音源を個別にご紹介していきましょう。

【ディスク１：BBCサウンドボード（1972年７月13日）】
まず登場するのは、1972年のBBC出演。『LIVE IN EUROPE』リリースの約２ヶ月後となる「７月13日」に収録されたステレオ・サウンドボードです。幾多のエアチェック・ブートを生み出してきた大定番音源ですが、本作のクオリティは完全に別次元。「超」を３つも４つも並べたい極上品なのです。それもそのはず、本作は大元となるBBCのトランスクリプション・ディスク『CN1597/S』そのものから直接デジタル化されているのです。
しかも、ただの原盤起こしでもない。なんと所有していたのは当時の関係者。もちろん放送未使用であり、厳重に保管されていたために状態も超・極上なのです。そんな奇跡の原盤だけに、デジタル化の工程も精緻を極めている。ざっくばらんに言って、プロがデジタル化。カートリッジ、アンプ、ケーブル等々の機材もハイエンドのプロ仕様ですし、エンジニアもプロ。アナログ起こしの宿命となる針パチさえ１つもない艶やかな再生音が実現しているのです。通常、アナログ起こしはデジタル化してからノイズ処理を行うものですが、本作は再生音そのままでノイズレス。その超美麗サウンドを、そのまま真空パックしているのです。
そのサウンドで描かれるのは「もう１つのLIVE IN EUROPE」とでも言える素晴らしさ。８曲が演奏されますが、そのうち公式『BBC SESSIONS』に採用されたのは「Tore Down」のみ。特に「Used To Be」「The Cuckoo」は『LIVE IN EUROPE』でも聴けない美味しいレパートリーです。そして何より、演奏ぶり。のっけからピッキング・ハーモニクスを決めまくり、スライド、ドブロ、アコースティックと変幻自在のプレイを聴かせる。『LIVE IN EUROPE』が全英チャート９位をマークしたブレイクの刹那だったわけですが、その勢いがたっぷりと吸い込まれているのです。

【ディスク２：BBCサウンドボード（1971年８月12日）】
代わってのディスク２は1971年出演のテイク。こちらはデビュー作『RORY GALLAGHER』リリースの約３ヶ月後となる「７月13日」のステレオ・サウンドボードです。こちらのクオリティも超絶＆極上。ディスク１と同じく、関係者保管のトランスクリプション・ディスク『CN1509/S』からプロがデジタル化したものです。
鉄壁すぎるサウンドについて繰り返すのは避けますが、ショウはさらに美味しい。こちらは４曲だけの短い放送だったものの、公式『BBC SESSIONS』には一切収録されていないのです。さらに内容も美味しい。やはり『LIVE IN EUROPE』では聴けない『DEUCE』の「Maybe I Will」「Crest Of A Wave」が披露され、ディスク１の1972年録音とも曲の被りがない。事実としてはディスク１と本作は約１年の隔たりがあるわけですが、メンバーが同じということもあって、ひと続きの２枚組ライヴアルバムとして聴いても違和感がない。もちろん、演奏ぶりも熱い。ディスク１がブレイクスルーの充実感だとすれば、こちらはソロデビュー直後の覇気がスピーカーから吹き出してくる。ディスク１と続けて聴くと「もう１つのLIVE IN EUROPE」を超える。さらに拡充させたような超名盤なのです。

【ディスク２：貴重なボーナス・トラック】
そんな超極上ステレオ・サウンドボード２種の後は、マニア向けのボーナス・トラックも２種収録しています。１つは「1972年６月24日ロンドン公演」のオーディエンス録音。約26分間（４曲）の短い録音ですが、現場となった“Kings Cross Cinema”は映画館で、映画の上映後にオールナイトで開催されたコンサートに出演した際の記録なのです。そのため雰囲気は独特と言いますか、ちょっっと異例な感じもするのですが、演奏の熱気はBBCや『LIVE IN EUROPE』にも匹敵する。この録音自体が非常に貴重なものの、中身もマニアックに激レアな極上録音なのです。
最後は、さらに貴重。TASTE末期となる「1970年デュッセルドルフ公演」で記録された「Same Old Story」のオーディエンス録音です。これのみ極上とは言い難いクオリティですが、TASTEのオーディエンス録音は、存在そのものが貴重。日付は不明なものの、ワイト島で５回もアンコールを求められたと言われる1970年TASTEの底力を本生体験できるのです。

とにかく関係者が保管していたBBC原盤から引き出された史上最高峰・究極サウンドが圧倒的。あの歴史的名盤『LIVE IN EUROPE』に匹敵するどころか、さらに上回ってしまう超名盤です。もはや公式／非公式の別を超え、英国ロックの文化遺産となる２枚組。その輝きがいつまでも色あせないプレス２CDで永久保存決定です。

Main part Press 2CD is stereo sound board recording of the super extreme which can be said to be “another LIVE IN EUROPE”. Of course, it’s basically an unnecessary cultural heritage album such as a bonus, but there is no “scene” in the live album no matter how wonderful it is. Therefore, we prepared a large standard pro shot that can be said to be “Let’s see LIVE IN EUROPE”.
What is included in such a work is “May 11, 1972 Limerick performance”. A multi-camera pro shot featuring a show in Rory’s hometown Ireland. This video is an old standard, and it was adopted in 2011 as a bonus video of the official BD “IRISH TOUR ’74”. This work is different, it is a broadcasting station master that leaked before it was formalized. Therefore, there is also a vintage sense that is close to sepia, but the image quality itself is excellent. The dubbing deterioration is not seen at all only in the master station, and it is delicate to one of the hair that sticks to Rory’s cheek which sweats. And vintage colors also add exquisite nuances to 70’s film shooting. If it is assumed that the official BD version expresses the scene, this work is a beauty of the picture that reminds us of the time of 1972, which was taken.
The heat performance drawn in the quality is also the very best of “1972”. Only in Ireland the title is “IRISH TOUR 1972” (the document scene for exploring old castles is reminiscent of classic films), but the show itself is apt to be called “watching LIVE IN EUROPE”. Rod Diaz sits on the stool, but Wilger Campbell has often missed the show since his 1972 tour, and the rod of the day is also a substitute. This was his first day. But the bigger one is the Power Trio Ensemble. It is a keyboard-less to the last, and above all the numbers such as “Laundromat”, “Pistol Slapper Blues” and “Bullfrog Blues” can be seen the big heat performance as “LIVE IN EUROPE”. In fact, this day is also three days before the release of “LIVE IN EUROPE”, and the fresh heat of the break just before the taste of success is unknown.
Following such a main story, a delicious bonus video is also included. It is a tribute program “GALLAGHER’S BLUES: A REQUEIM FOR RORY” broadcasted in 1995 when Lory passed away. This is also a master for broadcasting where the commercial count screen appears at the beginning, and the quality is excellent. It is a documentary program that looks back on Rory’s life in films and interviews of each era, but I’m glad that live images are also abundantly used. The bonus is about 35 minutes full-scale professional shot video.

本編プレス２CDは「もう１つのLIVE IN EUROPE」とも言える超極上のステレオ・サウンドボード録音。もちろん、本来であればボーナスなど不要の文化遺産アルバムなのですが、いかに素晴らしくともライヴアルバムに“光景”はない。そこで、「目で観るLIVE IN EUROPE」とも言える大定番プロショットをご用意しました。
そんな本作に収められているのは「1972年５月11日リムリック公演」。ロリーの故郷アイルランドでのショウをフィーチュアしたマルチカメラ・プロショットです。この映像は古くからの定番で、2011年には公式BD『IRISH TOUR ’74』のボーナス映像にも採用されたもの。本作はそれとは異なり、公式化される前に流出した放送局マスターです。そのため、色合いこそセピアに近いヴィンテージ感覚もありますが、画質そのものは絶品。局マスターだけにダビング劣化がまるで見られず、汗ばむロリーの頬に張り付く髪の毛の１本１本まで繊細。そして、ヴィンテージな色合いも70年代のフィルム撮影に絶妙なニュアンスを加えている。公式BD版が現場を表現しているとするなら、本作は撮影された“1972年”という時代そのものを甦らせたような映像美なのです。
そのクオリティで描かれる熱演も、まさに“1972年”の至極。アイルランドだけにタイトルは『IRISH TOUR 1972』ではあります（故郷の古城を散策するドキュメント・シーンも名作映画を彷彿とさせます）が、ショウ自体は「目で観るLIVE IN EUROPE」と呼ぶに相応しい。スツールに座るのはロッド・ディアスですが、実はウィルガー・キャンベルは1972年ツアーから度々ショウを欠席しており、この日のロッドも代役。これが彼の初日でもありました。しかし、それ以上に大きいのはパワー・トリオのアンサンブル。あくまでもキーボード・レスであり、そして何より「Laundromat」「Pistol Slapper Blues」「Bullfrog Blues」といったナンバーが『LIVE IN EUROPE』さながらの大熱演が見られる。実際、この日は『LIVE IN EUROPE』リリースの３日前でもあり、ブレイク間際でありながら成功の味はまだ知らないフレッシュな熱気が素晴らしいのです。
そんな本編に続き、本作にはさらい美味しいボーナス映像も収録しています。ロリーが亡くなった1995年に放送された追悼番組“GALLAGHER’S BLUES: A REQUEIM FOR RORY”です。こちらも冒頭に業務用カウント画面が出る放送用マスターで、絶品のクオリティ。各時代の映像やインタビューでロリーの人生を振り返るドキュメンタリー番組ですが、ライヴ映像もふんだんに使われているのが嬉しい。ボーナスとは言っても約35分に及ぶ本格的なプロショット映像です。

歴史的名作『LIVE IN EUROPE』さえも凌駕する本編プレス２CDに加え、「目で観るLIVE IN EUROPE」となる本作。伝説のTASTEを引き継いだような初期トリオ時代の熱演を超極上クオリティで味わえる豪華セット。ぜひ、併せてじっくりとお楽しみください。
