The biggest incident in 2022, “2002 Wiltern Long Broadcast”. The longest special edition DVD is now available.
The main theme of this work is, of course, the multi-camera pro shot of “November 4, 2002 Wiltern Theater Performance”. A long version was suddenly broadcast by BBC, and the sound board album “WILTERN 2002” was also a big hit, and it is a super masterpiece video that is attracting the most attention now. At our shop, the breaking news release version was very popular immediately after the broadcast, and we have introduced several gift versions and bonus versions with related videos added, but this work is the longest and highest peak produced as the final version. It’s the edition.
However, every time I introduce a new version, I have to repeat “updating the highest peak”, so it may be a little difficult to understand. Since there are four large images recorded in this work, let’s rearrange them for each point.

● Main long professional shot
The main feature of this work is the BBC’s long-form broadcast itself, which has stolen the topic of 2022. Familiar from the preliminary release board “LIVE AT THE WILTERN THEATER 2002: BBC BROADCAST”, which was made into a DVD from the best master. In the version widely available on the net, “Bitch” had a momentary sound blur, but this work does not have it. It is the highest peak version that can be desired at the moment.

● “You Don’t Have To Mean It” expands the main image
This work adds three images to such a main pro shot. First of all, the most important thing is “You Don’t Have To Mean It” inserted in the main video.
In the first place, this is not the first appearance of “2002 Wiltern footage”. Only 4 songs were recorded as bonus content of the official DVD “FOUR FLICKS” released in 2003. Among them, “Beast of Burden”, “Rock Me Baby” and “Bitch” were also included in the BBC broadcast version this time, so there was no problem, but only one song “You Don’t Have to Mean It” was cut. rice field. In this work, the precious one song is also added.
And the point is how to add it. In the bonus title version so far, it was recorded as an independent content after the end of the main part, but in this work it is inserted in the main pro shot along the actual show. It is closer to the perfect shape of the show more naturally. Of course, it is precisely reprinted from the official out-of-print DVD. Recorded in the highest quality version.

◆ Additional video “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking”
From here on is the bonus content after the end of the main story. First of all, it is a slide show of “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” off the BBC broadcast.
I mentioned the official DVD “FOUR FLICKS” earlier, but “Wilturn in 2002” was used not only in the video, but also in the official live album “LIVE LICKS”. Four songs of “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking”, “Beast of Burden”, “You Don’t Have to Mean It” and “Rock Me Baby” were recorded, but the point was not in this BBC broadcast “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking”. Originally, this should also be inserted into the main part, but unfortunately there was no video, and the mix was too different from the BBC broadcast version. Therefore, in this work, it is finished in a unique slide show in a separate frame from the long pro shot of the main story.

◆ Additional video “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”
The last additional video is the TV broadcast version of “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”. There was “Jumpin ‘Jack Flash” in this BBC broadcast, but this broadcast version is another edited version of a completely different angle. The difference is not humpa, but a completely different cut flows. If you look carefully side by side, the same cuts will occasionally appear, so it’s at the level of finally convincing that “Oh, it’s the same show”.

As above, the highest peak version of the main video has been expanded with “You Don’t Have To Mean It”, and two additional videos have been compiled. It is one piece that completely covers the professional shot of Wiltern performance. It is a big decision board that is longer and more complete than any of the previous bulletin edition / gift edition / bonus edition. そんな本作のメイン・テーマは、もちろん「2002年11月４日ウィルターン・シアター公演」のマルチカメラ・プロショット。突如BBCによって長尺版が放送され、サウンドボード・アルバム『WILTERN 2002』も大ヒットした今一番注目されている超傑作映像です。当店では放送直後から速報リリース版が大好評を博し、その後も関連映像を追加したギフト版やボーナス版など幾つかご紹介してきましたが、本作はその最終版として制作された最長・最高峰版なのです。
もっとも新バージョンをご紹介する度に「最高峰を更新」と繰り返す事にもなってしまいましたので、ちょっと分かりづらいかも知れません。本作収録の映像は大きく４つありますので、ポイント毎に整理し直してみましょう。

●メインの長尺プロショット
本作のメインになるのは、2022年の話題をかっさらったBBCの長尺放送そのもの。速報リリース盤『LIVE AT THE WILTERN THEATRE 2002: BBC BROADCAST』からお馴染みで、ベスト・マスターからDVD化されたもの。ネットで広く出回っているバージョンでは「Bitch」に瞬間の音ブレがありましたが、本作にはそれもない。現時点で望みうる最高峰バージョンです。

●メイン映像を拡張する「You Don’t Have To Mean It」
本作は、そんなメイン・プロショットに３つの映像を追加しています。まず、最も重要なのはメイン映像の中にインサートされた「You Don’t Have To Mean It」です。
そもそも「2002年のウィルターン映像」は今回が初出ではありません。2003年にリリースされた公式DVD『FOUR FLICKS』のボーナス・コンテンツとして４曲分だけが収録されていました。そのうち、「Beast of Burden」「Rock Me Baby」「Bitch」は今回のBBC放送版にもあるので問題なかったのですが、１曲「You Don’t Have to Mean It」だけがカットされていました。本作は、その貴重な１曲も追加されています。
そして、追加方法がポイント。これまでのボーナス・タイトル版では、本編終了後の独立コンテンツとして収録していましたが、本作では実際のショウに沿ってメイン・プロショットの中に挿入。より自然にショウの完全形に近づけているのです。もちろん、オフィシャルの廃盤DVDから精緻に復刻。最高峰クオリティ版で収録しています。

◆追加映像「Can’t You Hear Me Knocking」
ここからは本編終了後のボーナス・コンテンツです。まずはBBC放送から外れた「Can’t You Hear Me Knocking」のスライド・ショーです。
先ほど公式DVD『FOUR FLICKS』について触れましたが、「2002年のウィルターン」は映像だけでなく公式ライヴアルバム『LIVE LICKS』にも採用されていました。「Can’t You Hear Me Knocking」「Beast of Burden」「You Don’t Have to Mean It」「Rock Me Baby」の４曲分が収録されていましたが、ポイントなのは今回のBBC放送になかった「Can’t You Hear Me Knocking」。本来であれば、これも本編にインサート収録すべきなのですが、残念ながら映像が存在せず、さらにBBC放送版とはミックスがあまりにも異なっていました。そこで本作では本編の長尺プロショットとは別枠立てで、独自のスライド・ショーに仕上げてあります。

◆追加映像「Jumpin’ Jack Flash」
最後の追加映像がTV放送版の「Jumpin’ Jack Flash」。今回のBBC放送にも「Jumpin’ Jack Flash」はありましたが、この放送版は完全別アングルの別編集版。その違い方もハンパではなく、全然違うカットがバンバン流れてくる。並べてよーく見ると同じカットもたまに出てくるので「あ、やっぱり同じショウなんだ」とやっと納得する……というレベルです。

以上、メイン映像の最高峰版を「You Don’t Have To Mean It」で拡張し、さらに２つの追加映像を集成。ウィルターン公演のプロショットを完全網羅した１枚です。これまでの速報版／ギフト版／ボーナス版のどれよりも長く、完成度も高い一大決定盤です。新たなプロショット／サウンドボードが発掘されない限り、最終形態になるであろう１枚。どうぞ、存分にお楽しみください。
