STILL LIFE UK Original LP with UK Singles, which used the original UK board, which was very popular as a gift item the other day, is now available as a gift item using the original US board. As I wrote in the explanation of the UK edition, the US edition is also attractive. That is, this original US board is the so-called “RL board” cut by Bob Ludwig. If you compare it with a gift item using the UK edition, you can see it, but it is clearly a loud cutting. This is a live album. The album (tour) has become a hot topic since Under My Thumb and Time Is On My Side have been recorded (played) since Got Live If You Want It! It may be that expectations for coming to Japan have increased in conjunction with such a return to origin. Now, the music selection for this tour is a song from Tattoo You and Emotional Rescue, where Start Me Up, which was a new song and a hit single at the time, was placed at the end. As a bonus track, we recorded each stereo and monaural version as a bonus track from the US promo board of Going To A Go-Go and Time Is On My Side. This is now a valuable mono version. Here is a little explanation.

First is Stereo / Mono from Going To A Go Go. In the Stereo version, Bob Radwig, who worked on the US album, is also in charge of cutting on the Stereo side. Powerful and excellent sharpness, the sound is the RL ｀ carved seal! The Mono side has a ｀ RL ｀ stamp, but it is a mix that has a low-pitched Bing sound that is not inferior to the Stereo side.

The stereo side of the following Time Is On My Side also has a stamp of MASTERDISK, a sound studio in New York that is not an exaggeration to say that Bob Ludwig and Bob Clear Mountain are in charge of mixing, although there is no ｀ RL ｀ stamp It has a sharp and soft sound. And the Mono side has a slightly different orientation and rounded, in a way, a gentle sound like the 60s Mono board. This is also MASTERDISK engraved (Going To A Go Go is engraved on both sides). Also, with this Time Is On My Side promo board, the Stones label’s promotion-only Stereo / Mono single version seems to have ended.

先日のギフトアイテムとして大好評をいただいたオリジナルUK盤を使用したSTILL LIFE UK Original LP with UK Singlesですが新たにオリジナルUS盤を使用してギフトアイテムとして登場です。UK盤の解説にも書かせていただいた通りUS盤も捨てがたい魅力があるのです。それはこのオリジナルUS盤はあのBob Ludwigカッティングされた通称「RL盤」なのです。UK盤使用のギフトアイテムと聴き比べるとお分かりいただけると思いますが明らかにラウドなカッティングとなっています。ライブ・アルバムですのでこのカッティングは嬉しいところです。このアルバム（ツアー）で話題になったのはGot Live If You Want It!以来に Under My Thumbと Time Is On My Sideが収録（演奏）されたことではないでしょうか。こういった原点回帰と相まって来日への期待が膨らんだのかもしれません。さてこのツアーの選曲はTattoo YouやEmotional Rescueからの曲が採用され当時は新曲でもありヒット・シングルでもあったStart Me Upが終盤に据えられたの頷けるところです。ボーナス・トラックとして Going To A Go-GoとTime Is On My SideのUSプロモ盤からそれぞれのステレオとモノラル・バージョンをボーナス・トラックとして収録しました。こちらは今となっては貴重なモノ・バージョンが収めてられています。こちらを少しご説明します。

まずはGoing To A Go GoのStereo/Monoです。StereoバージョンはUS盤アルバムでもカッテイングを手がけたボブ・ラドウィッグがこのStereoサイドでもカッティングを担当しています。迫力満点かつ切れ味抜群、その音は貫禄の｀RL｀刻印です！Monoサイドは｀RL｀刻印はないものの全くStereoサイドと引けをとらない低音ビンビンの音に仕上ったミックスになっいます。

続くTime Is On My SideのStereoサイドも｀RL｀刻印はないもののボブ・ラドウィッグそしてミックスを担当したボブ・クリアマウンテン御用達と言っても過言ではないニューヨークのサウンド工房であるMASTERDISKの刻印がしっかりと刻まれた鋭く柔らかいサウンドとなっています。そしてMonoサイドは一転ちょっと指向が変わって丸みのある、ある意味60年代のMono盤のような優しい音になっています。こちらもMASTERDISK刻印が刻まれています（Going To A Go Goは両面に刻印アリです）。またこのTime Is On My Sideのプロモ盤をもってストーンズレーベルのプロモーションオンリーStereo/Mono仕様のシングル盤は終了となったようです。

STILL LIFE UK Original LP with UK Singlesと同じくとても楽しんでいただけるギフト・アイテムとなっています！是非とも！！
