W VAULT Motoi C VAULT delivered a large amount of multitrack soundboard recordings recorded for the Rolling Stones 1981 tour radio broadcast nearly 10 years ago. One of them was “TEMPE 1981”, which was newly overhauled this year and is a best-selling record, and the Pontiac Silver Dome was the forerunner of such 81 multitracks. It is a large venue that Michigan is proud of, and Stones has a track record of using it in 1978. In the 1981 tour, two performances were held at the same venue, and both were recorded as multi-tracks for radio broadcasting.
Since they are full-length sound boards for radio recording and the sound quality is also excellent, items were created in a blink of an eye as soon as they were released on the previous site in 2007, and our shop also released “DETROIT 1981” on this day. Thing. Even after the release on the press board was sold out, it was revived with a free gift CD-R many times. Rather, many people are now asked about this version.
For that reason, if you listen to it now, you can’t deny that the squishy texture of the compressed distribution at the time of 2007 is jarring, and the sound quality feels the times … After all, it is an item 14 years ago. Rather, it was hoped that a version overhauled with the latest technology would appear beyond the series of 81 multitracks delivered 10 years ago.

However, an unexpected barrier stands up against the wishes of such enthusiasts. It is no exaggeration to say that CONCERT VAULT has dominated the world of rare sound sources for nearly 10 years, but now the distribution scale has been reduced. Although the sound source that is open to the public is the same as before, the recording time has become shorter. In other words, it is delivered in an incomplete state. Graff Zeppelin helped me in such a situation. As of 2016, before the site fell into the current situation, it captured the delivery of the first day of Silver Dome.
It seems that the sound quality was promised to be incomparable with 2007, but after all, the squishy compression feeling peculiar to mp3 was wiped out. For example, it is obvious around “Let It Bleed” where Mick played the acoustic guitar, and even this alone boasts an overwhelming upper feeling. Of course, there was no noise that occurred in 2007. On top of that, Graff Zeppelin made a careful overhaul.
Speaking of the multi-track sound source on the first day of Silver Dome, there was a problem that “Waiting On A Friend” and “Start Me Up” were missing, but as before, this time it was on the market before the appearance of multi-track. Compensated with monaural PA out sound board recording. But that’s not all. As a result of overhauling this monaural SBD part by going back to the original sound source, the crisp hardness that was in 2007 was wiped out, and the sound quality was upgraded to praise the depth that seems to be monaural. Especially when I listen to Charlie’s bass drum, the upper feeling is clearly visible.

And while the Silver Dome was conscious of recording for radio broadcasting for two days, and while the height of the voltage unique to the end of the tour was maintained, it is also famous for enthusiasts as the day when each slapstick scene was seen for some reason. And I think it’s also attractive that it can be enjoyed even more with multi-track stereo (laughs).
Even “Shattered”, which should have been sung so much, can be seen in a very erratic scene as a result of Mick making a mistake in the composition. Even more than that, when “Jumping Jack Flash”, which should be the finale that concludes the main part of the live, got excited, Keith played the riff many times and it seemed to be crazy, and above all, Charlie was like a hand at the end. It’s been a forced termination as if I slipped and dropped the stick. Of course, the overall performance is full of momentum, but performances like these cannot be adopted for broadcasting (bitter smile).
Of course, such a slapstick scene is of course, but since it is basically a rough mix, you can also hear unusual scenes such as Mick’s strumming rhythm guitar being heard loudly when “When The Whip Comes Down” starts. Following the popular “TEMPE 1981”, Graff Zeppelin has reborn the first day of the 81 multitrack Silver Dome, which enthusiasts would have been waiting for a re-release!

(Remaster memo)
★ The main sound source is a sound source that is firmly contained up to nearly 20khz (the one that was DL in 2016).
The feeling of sur-sur-MP3 is clearly diminished from the previous release in 2007 (decreasing from around 15khz), and you can watch it with almost no problem. (You can tell the difference only by the acoustic guitar voice on the left channel of the intro.)

★ Judge that the pitch is correct (Guitar tuning is probably not for each string)

★ Compensation is from the mono sound source of the PA line.
Compared to the previous edition, the supplementary sound source also has a less slick digital odor, and you can feel the depth. (* In the previous edition, the mono sound source also undulates around 18khz)

★ It will be released with a sticker with numbering.

★★ Undoubtedly, the best Pontiac 1981 first day soundboard ever! !!
