さて、本作品は現在SACDでも聞くことができますが、アナログマニアにとっては、やっぱりストーンズはオリジナルUK盤で！となってしまいます。
ところが、本作品のオリジナルUK盤を判断するのはちょっと困難なチョイスが必要なのです。
まずレーベル面なのですが、US盤は内ジャケの写真が使用されたカスタムレーベルになっているのですが、UK盤は従来のイエロレーベルにWマークの印刷が無いものが存在します。
76年の作品ですのでWマークが印刷されてるハズではなのですが。。。またUS盤同様にカスタムレーベルにWマーク入りのデイスクも存在するのです。
そして肝心のスタンパーですが、日本盤の帯に書いてあるとおり『世界共通・・・』とのハズなのですが、UK盤には『STERLING LH』の刻印はあるもののマスターのジェネーレーションを表すとされる(ある意味肝心の)マトリックスナンバーが手書きデイスクと刻印デイスクが存在します。更にややこっしいことに片面は手書き、片面は刻印、といったデイスクも共存するようです。
今回はイエロー・レーベルにWマークなし、手書きでA1/B1、のデイスクをオリジナル初回UK盤と推定して使用しています。もちもんデイスクコンディションも極上です！若干の針パチノイズは残っていますが、鑑賞には全く問題ないレベル。この機会に、ぜひぜひお楽しみ下さい。
