The Rolling Stones’ latest “STONES SIXTY” tour, where high-quality audiences are finally coming to the fore. Until now, the quality of the audience recording has been renewed every time a limited press CD from the tour is released, such as “MUNICH 2022” and the just released “BRUSSELS AFFAIR 2022”, but the closeness of the sound image is again. An overwhelming and wonderful sound source has appeared. This is a level that must be released on a limited press CD.
Even in Brussels earlier, the closeness of the sound image centered on Mick’s singing voice was overwhelming, but this time the balance that the performance was turned on is approaching the sound board. As you know, the current Stones have a customary stage using a vast venue, so I’m always impressed that Mick and performances can be captured so close.
As for how well the sound image is on the balance, Keith’s “Honky Tonk Women” intro is very close and vivid. With this alone, you should be able to understand whether this sound source is an outstanding level recording, and if that happens, the intro of “Start Me Up” will be approaching with tremendous force. However, I can clearly hear Keith playing the lead guitar with a fluffy phrase in “Out Of Time” (bitter smile).

Such “Honky Tonk ~” itself is very good at playing, and on this day, not only the sound quality is good, but also the performance with great momentum is heard throughout. First of all, “Let’s Spend the Night Together” is shining at the beginning of the live. This song was also one of the Brian repertoires that was brought back to life by Steve Jordan’s drumming, but it wasn’t played unexpectedly at the beginning of this tour, and it was replayed in July. From Amsterdam.
Also, the request number of the day was “Dead Flowers”, but this is also a performance like Stones, which is also wonderful. In addition, Keith Corner started playing “You Got The Silver” less frequently in July, and Keith’s looseness was also utilized in a good way. It is a performance and shows the performance unique to this day.
Also, the sound quality is so good that Darryl Jones’s bass is slamming in all directions, and it’s really reliable that his bass also plays a role in “Midnight Rambler” on that day. With the addition of Steve, a drummer who can be said to be of the same rank, instead of Charlie, who had been concerned about it until then, he may be able to put himself out on a base more than ever. The next “Paint It Black” clearly shows how Steve & Darryl, a new rhythm section, is finally confidently supporting the Stones.

It was a day when such powerful performances were repeated, but as reported all over the world, it was also a stage that was carried out in the wake of the heat waves that hit Europe. It’s ironic that you can see Mick’s song stalling from “Sympathy For the Devil” because of that, because of the superb sound quality. Rather, it can be said that the reality is reminded here, and the elderly member Stones often performed so powerfully.
In response to this situation, it was also talked about that “Gimme Sheleter”, which should not have been played on that day, was omitted, but the more I heard this, the more I had to omit it. It makes me keenly aware. Fortunately, however, the effect of omitting one song is enormous. Thanks to that, Mick, who demodulated, sang the remaining two songs firmly. Therefore, not only the sound quality is good, but also the performance is good. It is also a true audience album that captures how the heat wave forced the end of the live to change. This is the latest document that all enthusiasts should listen to in the release from this tour!

★ At the moment, it is the latest tour live board with the best sound quality.
