ギフト配布時から大変定評の高い超高音質オーディエンス録音ではありますが、今回のバージョンは開演前と終演後の様子も前回のバージョンよりもはるかに長時間に渡って収録、今のところ最初で最後となっている札幌公演における興奮の臨場感を改めて再現してくれるのです。そもそも2006年の来日公演の時点ではライブ前後の模様を収録するアイテム自体が少なく、またそれを求める声もなかったはず。その点で今回の収録時間の延長はとても新鮮に感じられることでしょう。「サッポロに来れてなまらうれしい」というミックのMCを引き合いに出すまでもなく、ストーンズが初めてこの地を訪れた会場の興奮が生々しいまでに再現されるのです。

ライブというのは開演直後に会場からの出音のバランスが整わない分ドラムの音が目立ちやすく、それは昨年の来日公演のオーディエンス録音でも見られた傾向です。その例に漏れず、ここでもチャーリーの音の存在感が前半は強く、中でもハイハットが目立ちました。しかし今回のバージョンの方が全体の音の厚みを増していますので、その点が前回のバージョンほど気にならないかと思われます。

2006年の来日公演において札幌のセットリストはレア曲が一切なく、選曲面でのインパクトに欠けるのは事実でしょう。しかし演奏の方はこれぞ「盤石」とよべるハイ・テンションでしかもブレのない見事な演奏が繰り広げられたのもまた事実でしょう。そもそも2006年の来日公演は「Bitch」の当たり年で、東京ドーム二日目でも壮絶な演奏が聴かれたものですが、ここでの演奏もまた凄まじい！まさに絶好調のストーンズ。さらに「Oh No, Not You Again」で聴かせるチャーリーのバスドラ連打の迫力がまた凄い！75年カウパレスの「If You Can’t Rock Me / Get Off Of My Cloud」を彷彿させるアッパーな勢いは言葉を失いそうなほど。そんな最高のパフォーマンスを目の当たりにした札幌の観客の反応や盛り上がりがまた素晴らしく、ライブ終盤「Brown Sugar」での「イエーイエーフーッ！」も演奏との絶妙なバランスで捉えられています。そんな2006年来日公演の名演かつ名音源のアップグレード・バージョンが限定のプレスCDにてリリースされます、前回以上の極上音質を是非ご堪能ください！
