This show has traditionally been famous in two ways. One is that a terrible name recording was left. At that time, the box “RITCHIE BOWS TO GERMANY”, which summarizes the five performances of the German tour, became a hot topic. The feeling of close contact was also suitable for calling it a “sound board”. At that time, the classic ROCK PALAST pro shot was not as good as it is today, so it was a super-famous recording that was whispered as “the best masterpiece in Europe in 1995”.
This work is a recurrence of such an old masterpiece. .. .. Well, there isn’t. The latest and highest peak master that appeared very recently. It is a product that was directly digitized from the 1st Gene Master, which was provided by the recorder himself. Moreover, our own meticulous mastering is also carried out. Furthermore, the outline is emphasized and the lack is improved. I thoroughly corrected the fine petit noise that I finally noticed when I listened with headphones. As a result, it was the best sound board from the original sound, but it has been brushed up to the dimension of “Where is this audience !?”. [A great performance in the early 90’s that reached its full potential] Now. The second reason that made this show famous … it’s a great performance. As you can see from the schedule above, RAINBOW premiered at the end of September 1995, but at that point it was an extension of the rehearsal. After that, he continued to improve with one performance and one performance, and the fifth performance, Hannover (this work), has gained a reputation as the first full-scale driving and great performance. The set is basically the same as the ROCK PALAST Pro Shot (the difference is that the service of “Black Night” to the big lath is different), so I will omit it, but the key is energy. And another point is the vocal team. The main duggy is in great shape and the highs are growing comfortably, but at the same time the choruses of Greg Smith and Candice Night are also wonderful. In particular, there are some shows where you can’t hear the chorus of Candice at all, but in this work, you can hear it firmly with a good idea. The large chorus of “Too Late for Tears” and “Long Live Rock’n’Roll” and the harmony of “Temple Of The King” are thick, yet beautifully separated. Of course, the twin of “Burn”, which was a hot topic at that time, can be heard with a combination more than the original Coverdale / Hughes.
The big lath “Black Night” symbolizes such a great performance. “Over The Rainbow”, which announces the end of the performance after “Smoke On The Water”, will be played at the venue, but even after that, it will reappear in front of the spectators who will not wake up! The snow fell from Doggy’s favorite drinking song to “Black Night” by asking “Are there any requests?” Obviously, it may be a rugged finish that has not been rehearsed, but it is dazzling that it is in a good mood. It’s a live album that conveys how satisfied Ritchie was.

これがドゥギー時代の全景。1995年は大票田であるヨーロッパと日本だけを巡ったわけですが、その中でも本作のハノーファー公演は序盤も序盤。５公演目にあたるコンサートでした。1995年のドイツと言えば、何よりも公式化もされたROCKPALASTプロショットが有名ですが、本作はその前日でもあります。
このショウは、従来から２つの意味で有名。１つは、凄まじい名録音が残された事。当時、独ツアーの５公演をまとめたボックス『RITCHIE BOWS TO GERMANY』が話題となったのですが、その中でも音の良さではズバ抜け、極太の芯も、耳を澄ませばどこまでも聞こえるディテールも、ゼロ距離なド密着感も「まるでサウンドボード」と呼ぶに相応しかった。当時は大定番のROCKPALASTプロショットも現在ほどのクオリティではなかったこともあり、「1995年ヨーロッパの最高傑作」と囁かれるほどの超名録音だったのです。
本作は、そんな旧名盤の再発。。。では、ありません。ごく最近になって登場した、最新・最高峰マスター。録音者自身から提供されたという1stジェネ・マスターからダイレクトにデジタル化された銘品なのです。しかも、当店独自で細心マスタリングも敢行。さらに輪郭を際立たせ、ヌケも向上。ヘッドフォンで耳をすましてやっと気づくレベルの微細なプチノイスも徹底的に補正しました。その結果、原音からして「まるでサウンドボード」な極上ぶりでしたが、「これのどこがオーディエンス!?」という次元にまでブラッシュ・アップされているのです。
【本領発揮に達した、90年代初の大名演】
さて。このショウを有名にしていた２つめの理由……それは大名演です。上記スケジュールをご覧の通り、1995年９月末に初演を果たしたRAINBOWでしたが、その時点ではリハーサルの延長上。その後も１公演１公演と調子を上げていき、５公演目のハノーファー（本作）が初めての全力運転・大名演との定評を得ているのです。セットは基本的にROCKPALASTプロショットと同じ（大ラスに「Black Night」をサービスするところが異なります）なので割愛しますが、要となっているのはエネルギー。「Spotlight Kid」のオープニングで構成を間違えたりもするので「隅々まで完璧・鉄壁」というわけでもないのですが、それをモノともしない勢いが凄い。とにかくビートはキビキビと心地よくリフも一発一発がキレッキレ。お約束のキメもビッシビシと決めまくりますし、ソロになるとギターもキーボードも燃え上がるようなフレーズを繰り出している。たとえミスがあっても崩れ感がまるでなく、パワーも勢いもたっぷりなのに危うさがないのです。
そして、もう１つのポイントがヴォーカル陣。メインのドゥギーが絶好調でハイも気持ちよく伸びているのですが、同時にグレッグ・スミスやキャンディス・ナイトのコーラスも素晴らしい。特にキャンディスのコーラスはまったく聞こえないショウもあったりするのですが、本作では良い案配でしっかりと聞こえる。「Too Late for Tears」や「Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll」の大合唱調も「Temple Of The King」のハーモニーもぶ厚く、それでいて綺麗にセパレート。もちろん無論、当時大いに話題となった「Burn」のツインも本家カヴァデール／ヒューズ以上のコンビネーションで聴かせてくれるのです。
そんな絶好調ぶりを象徴しているのが、大ラスの「Black Night」。「Smoke On The Water」後に終演を告げる「Over The Rainbow」が会場に流れるのですが、それが終わっても覚めやらぬ観客の前にまさかの再登場！ 「何かリクエストはあるか？」と声をかけ、ドゥギーお得意の酒飲み歌から「Black Night」へと雪崩れ込むのです。明らかにリハーサルしていないグダグダな仕上がりだったりもするのですが、それもお構いなしな機嫌の良さこそが眩しい。いかにリッチーが満足していたかがビッシビシと伝わってくるライヴアルバムなのです。

The main press 2CD is a masterpiece of music that you can enjoy the transcendent sound quality that you can’t think of as an audience and the enthusiasm of Ritchie Blackmore. As I mentioned in the commentary, speaking of Germany in 1995, the pro shot of the Dusseldorf performance the next day reigns as a symbol. Although it is still a long time ago, in order to imagine the “other side” of the main press 2CD, it is decided that a bonus will be attached with the highest peak master of the large standard video.
That’s why this work contains “October 9, 1995 Dusseldorf performance”. This is the multi-camera pro shot. This show was filmed for the famous German program “ROCKPALAST”, and has produced countless existing groups since that time. We have continued to introduce the best masters of the times in our shop. After that, it was made into an official DVD, but this work is considered to be the highest master. It was recorded firmly from “Over The Rainbow” which was not in the old air check, and it is still playing around the guitar solo of “Spotlight Kid”, and honestly I do not know what is different from the official version. However, I can’t find any inferiority instead. It is the so-called “completely official grade” quality.

The show that raised the band’s potential to the point where it was called the “first masterpiece” at Hannover the day before, and also added the concentration to face TV recording. It is one that you can enjoy the whole picture with a complete official grade professional shot. This work itself is the best masterpiece of the Duggy era, but even if such a super masterpiece is attached, the main part is as strong as it is. A paradoxical bonus that proves such awesomeness. 本編プレス２CDは、オーディエンスとは思えない超絶のサウンド・クオリティとリッチー・ブラックモアもご満悦の大熱演が楽しめる音楽作品の大傑作です。その解説でも触れましたが、1995年ドイツと言えば翌日であるデュッセルドルフ公演のプロショットこそが象徴として君臨しています。今さらではありますが、本編プレス２CDの“向こう側”をイメージするためにも、大定番映像の最高峰マスターでボーナス付属決定です。
と言うわけで、本作に収められているのは「1995年10月９日デュッセルドルフ公演」。そのマルチカメラ・プロショットです。このショウはドイツの有名番組“ROCKPALAST”のために撮影され、当時から無数の既発群を生み出して来た定番中の大定番。当店でも時代時代で最高峰のマスターでご紹介し続けてきました。その後、公式DVD化も果たしたわけですが、本作はその最高峰マスターとされているもの。昔のエアチェックにはなかった「Over The Rainbow」からしっかりと収録され、「Spotlight Kid」のギターソロ辺りでまだ流れていたりと、正直なところ公式版と何が違うのかよく分からなかったりもするのですが、代わりに劣っているところも見当たらない。いわゆる「完全オフィシャル級」クオリティなのです。
その映像美で描かれるのは、ドゥギー時代RAINBOWの象徴。本編プレス２CDの解説ではセットの整理を省略しましたので、こちらに記しておきましょう。
