RATT in 1986 embarked on a full-scale British tour to invade Europe. Introducing a new excavation master who tells the scene.
It was “February 29, 1986 London performance” that was imbued with this work. It is an excellent audience recording recorded on the first day of the traditional famous venue “Hammersmith Odeon” 3DAYS. Speaking of RATT in the golden age, “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985 (Shades 1289)” was well received the other day, and this week the press decision board “YOKOHAMA 1986 DEFINITIVE MASTER (Zodiac 435)” for the performance in Japan was released at the same time. First of all, let’s check the positions of such masterpieces together in the schedule at that time.

● 1985
・ January 4: Honolulu performance
・ March 20-27: Japan # 1 (6 performances)
<< June 13 “INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY” released >>
・ June 18-August 13: North America # 1a (41 performances)
・ August 17: Donnington performance ← * MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985
・ August 20-December 31: North America # 1b (86 performances)
● 1986
・ February 6-28: UK (17 performances) ← ★ Coco ★
・ April 7-28: Japan # 2 (17 performances) ← * YOKOHAMA 1986
・ April 30: Anchorage performance
<< August 9th “DANCING UNDERCOVER” released >>
・ December 4-31: North America # 2 (18 performances)

This is the 1985/1986 RATT. As a matter of fact, the above two works and this work are all records of “INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY Tour”. For them, “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985” was their first trip to the UK, but eight months later, the British tour was realized as the undercard of Ozzy Osbourne. The Hammersmith performance of this work was the 10th concert of such “UK”. By the way, Ozzy at that time was “THE ULTIMATE SIN Tour”, and the guitarist was Jake E. Lee. Jake was also a former RATT and a tour where old and new members gathered.
This work recorded at such a show is an exquisite audience recording with a dazzling clear freshness. The sound board isn’t so close that you make a mistake, but you can’t feel the distance, and the clear air shines brilliantly. The core that penetrates the center is straight and vivid like a laser beam, and the details are also clear. Expressed for our customers, it is a beautiful recording that feels like a “kinney recording”.
Moreover, this work can be said to be a sister work of “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985”. Both the masterpiece and this work are the “G.Mann” collections that are currently being talked about. Strictly speaking, this work is not “G.Mann” himself, but apparently the 1st Gene Master recorded by a close friend. I don’t know if I gave a lecture on the equipment or the instruction, but the individuality of the sound is similar, and the transfer and finish are “G. Mann”. If the sisters aren’t accurate, it’s like “cousin recording”.
The fresh sound is a concentration of early masterpieces that is a bit different from “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985”. Since it is a cousin recording of the same tour, let’s organize it while comparing.

● Invasion of Your Privacy (6 songs)
・ Dangerous But Worth The Risk (★) / Give It All (★) / You Should Know By Now (★) / Never Use Love / Lay It Down / You’re in Love
● Classics (5 songs)
・ Rat: Walkin’the Dog (★) / You Think You’re Tough / Sweet Cheater
・ Out of the Cellar: Wanted Man / Round and Round
* Note: The “★” mark is a song that cannot be heard in the first English masterpiece “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985”.

… And it looks like this. In “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985”, the time was about 30 minutes, but this is about 50 minutes even though it is the undercard. You can enjoy a group of masterpieces with increased volume.
And the performance is also wonderful. The tension was stronger in “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985”, which was a one-shot game on the big stage, but there was also a feeling of explosion that could collapse if one step was wrong. On the other hand, this work shows its true character with a highly complete ensemble. Of course, the young RATT should not get tired in about 50 minutes, and he is driving at full power from beginning to end, and on top of that, he has a sense of consistency.
It is a band whose true character is not well known because it is not blessed with an official live album, but its fierce performance is suitable for the flag bearer of LA metal. This is a new excavation live album where you can experience the stage of such a golden age with 100% sound. This work itself is also a historical record, but by combining it with the cousin’s work “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985”, you can feel their appearance burning in the British invasion more clearly. RATT in the golden age suddenly made his British debut on the big stage “MONSTERS OF ROCK” of the first generation, and followed the emperor Ozzy and embarked on the British domination. Please enjoy the two together.

★ Excellent audience recording of “February 29, 1986 Hammersmith Odeon Performance”. It is a famous recording in which a straight and vivid core pierces the center of the clear air like a laser beam, and it sounds like a kinney recording. Although it is the same “INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY Tour” as the first British masterpiece “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985 (Shades 1289)”, it has a long time and you can enjoy a wider variety of early masterpieces. This is a masterpiece live album that you should enjoy as a sequel to “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985”.

Dangerous But Worth The Risk(★)/Give It All(★)/You Should Know By Now(★)/Never Use Love/Lay It Down/You’re in Love
Walkin’ the Dog(★)/You Think You’re Tough/Sweet Cheater
Wanted Man/Round and Round

初渡英の名作『MONSTERS OF ROCK 1985(Shades 1289)』と同じ“INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY Tour”でありながら、持ち時間も長くより一層多彩な初期の名曲群が楽しめる。
