その両方を過去最良のクオリティでプレス化したアイテムが「MONSTERS OF ROCK 1980: Definitive Edition」でした。同作は2009年のリリース直後から大きな話題となり、（マニア／ビギナー問わず）RAINBOWファンなら必携の一本となり、たちまち完売。現在は長らく廃盤状態にあります。
しかし新たにコレクターズ・アイテムの探求を始めたファンからは、「どうしてもこのアイテムを手に入れたい」・「音源は敷居が高いけれど、プロショット映像ならば欲しい」というリクエストが相次いでいるのも事実。そこで今回は「DOWN TO NEW JERSEY」のリリースを記念して、”モンスターズ・オブ・ロック”のプロショット映像を過去作以上の決定版として、特別リリース決定！　RAINBOWの1979年および1980年のプロショットを一度に入手できる、最初にして最後のチャンスです！

本作では「MONSTERS OF ROCK 1980: Definitive Edition」で用いられた、コージー・パウエル所蔵のベータテープ・ビデオコレクションを再度使用。現在最新のリマスター技術で映像をクリーンアップし、画像のクリアネスや解像度をさらに向上させています。その一方、音源もより一層磨き上げられ、演奏の聴き応えや楽音のエッジも強化。とりわけ前回のプレスDVDでも解消できなかった（ほとんど唯一のウイーク・ポイントだった）音と映像の微妙なギャップもしっかりとアジャストされています。同一系統マスターとしてのクオリティでは「これ以上望むべくも無い」水準に達した本作は、これ一本でプレス化されないのが不思議なくらいの充実度だと断言します！

会場を埋め尽くした大観衆の喝采、花火が滝のように流れるステージというド派手な光景は、歴史的フェスティバルならでは。マニアならご存知のように本映像は約30分の素材として編集されており、１曲目も当日アンコール演奏された「All Night Long」から（同曲のイントロとして「Lazy」が付属）。７色のカクテル・ライトがまばゆく照らし出したステージで、リッチーをはじめグラハム，コージー，ドンそしてロジャーが最高のテンションとノリで躍動する姿は、これこそ「最強のRAINBOW」のピーク！　鮮度抜群のマスターでカラフルに蘇る映像は見応え満点です（この点に関してはモノクロの「DOWN TO NEW JERSEY」が及ばない、本映像の強みでしょう）！　その後は「Catch The Rainbow」や「Eyes Of The World」，「Lost In Hollywood」におけるリッチーのギターソロ（一部分）など、同日の名場面がダイジェスト的に繰り出されます。どの曲もバンドのプレイは素晴らしいの一言。中でも「Eyes Of The World」の緊張感と爆発力は、グラハム時代の集大成と言えるでしょう。
そして最大の見所が「Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?」です。グラハムが「リッチーのリクエストだ」と紹介して演奏される同曲は、日本のファンにも強い印象を残しました（ライヴでは今もなおグラハムに「この曲を歌って欲しい」というリクエストがなされるほど）。ヨーロッパツアー中はワンコーラスのみという場合がほとんどでしたが、ここではフルコーラス演奏されています（ある意味、ここはグラハムの「コージ・パウエル！」３連呼以上の名場面でしょう）。続く怒涛の「Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll」、リッチーが荒れ狂うギター・クラッシュの激動（ギターの壊しっぷりやキャビネットへの点火も、ニュージャージー公演以上の派手さ！）など、ライヴのクライマックスはまさに「伝説」の名がふさわしい壮絶パフォーマンス！　最後は花火が立て続けに打ち上げられ、フェスティバルを最高の盛り上がりでクロージングします！

本作にはボーナス・トラックとして、コージーがテレビ番組に出演した際の模様も約10分間収録しています。ファンや子どもたちにドラミングを解説するコージーの様子や、模範演奏を見せた後の「ドラム合戦」（コージーに真っ向立ち向かう子どものプレイも凄い！）まで、コージー・ファンなら思わず見入ってしまうでしょう。

本作は全体で40分ほどの内容ですが、中身の素晴らしさは「DOWN TO NEW JERSEY」と同じく、全てのRAINBOWファン必見です。たった一年間の活動期間にも関わらず、ロニー時代やジョー・リン・ターナー時代同様に支持を集めるグラハムRAINBOWの魅力を、「DOWN TO NEW JERSEY」と本作とでたっぷりお楽しみください！
