In this work, it compensated with another recording such as “GIGANTIC EXPLOSION” “DOWN TO BUDOKAN”, and made it the longest best perfect recording board.
In fact, that sound is amazing. So far the highest peak of “SOLITARY TRAVELERS recording” was “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980 (Darker Than Blue 195/196)”, but this work is more vivid and vivid. And, it is super clear. “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980” was also the ultimate thick walled and natural sound was overwhelming, but this work is going above the fine details of the detail. The super name recording that does not feel the distance is a well-known street, but this work further shines the air feeling to crystal clear, and the ringing is also delicate. The elongation of the treble shines brightly, the glossiness of the middle bass sounds black. Even silence between musical instruments is deep as abyss, all instruments, all notes stand out.
Although it is out of the main road, if I dare say to tell the details of this detail, clapping and clapping beat and applause is also amazing. Every single “pa” is crispy, and it gets smaller as it gets farther away from the immediate vicinity. Because details are fine and vivid, a sense of depth and perspective is born as well. Of course, this is just an example. With this overwhelming freshness, Strato sounds shine, Graham barks, Don dances, Dynamism of Cozy explodes. Perfectly speculated, this difference is probably the preservation state of the master cassette. Even without dubbing, analog tape loses sound with time. This new excavation master is a miracle cassette that it survived the test of time.

このように“武道館×3回+大阪×3回”。しかし、これは“武道館×2日+武道館&大阪×4日”と捉えた方が現実に即している。最初2公演はPAのバランスが今ひとつだったとも言われています(それが良かったりもするのです)が、その後オフを挟んだ後はすべてが完璧。さらに「Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?」まで追加された“奇跡の4日間”だった。DEEP PURPLE初来日が“奇跡の3日間”と同じ会場で再びミラクルが起きたのです。通常であれば「日本武道館3日目」なのですが、むしろ「奇跡4日間の初日」。その唯一の日本武道館であり、グラハム時代でも一番人気を誇るショウなのです。
そんな特別なライヴからは数々の名盤が生まれました。プレス・タイトル『GIGANTIC EXPLOSION』や『DOWN TO BUDOKAN』など、さまざまなマスターが登場してきましたが、その中でももっとも古くから知られ、大定番中の大定番として君臨してきたのが“SOLITARY TRAVELLER録音”と呼ばれるもの。その名の通り、アナログ盤『SOLITARY TRAVELLER』で初めて世に出た録音で、その後も『ON TOUR 1980 – ALL NIGHT LONG』や『INNOCENT VICTIMS COMPLETE(のメイン部分)』『DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980』といった傑作を生み出してきました。本作は、その最新にして最上級とも言える1本。過去の名盤のコピーでもなければ、リマスター再発でもない、新発掘マスターによる極上盤なのです。もちろん、同じ録音ですからテープチェンジ等のポイントもこれまでと同じ。本作では『GIGANTIC EXPLOSION』『DOWN TO BUDOKAN』といった別録音で補填し、最長最良の完全収録盤としました。
実際、そのサウンドは驚異的。これまで“SOLITARY TRAVELLER録音”の最高峰は『DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980(Darker Than Blue 195/196)』だったわけですが、本作はさらに鮮やかでビビッド。そして、超クリア。『DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1980』も究極的なジェネの肉厚でナチュラルなサウンドが圧倒的でしたが、ディテールの細やかさは本作こそが上を行く。距離をまるで感じない超名録音ぶりはよく知られた通りですが、本作はさらに空気感がクリスタル・クリアに輝き、鳴りも繊細。高音の伸びはどこまでも輝き、中低音の艶やかさは黒光りするよう。楽器間の無音でさえ深淵のように深く、すべての楽器、すべてのノートが際立っているのです。
