From “MAGIC TOUR” in 1986, a hard collector who set two kinds of high-quality audience recordings and a DVD by excellent audience shooting for the Manchester performance on July 16th, which was held four days after the legendary Wembley Stadium performance. A must-have 5-disc set is now available. Discs 1 & 2 are excellent recording takes with outstanding stability, and the atmosphere is touchingly enlivened with a moderate sense of presence from beginning to end. The audience who sings most of the songs is amazing, but Freddy’s vocals that fascinate the large audience with a very good voice are clearly recorded and it is a perfect score to listen to. The sound of Discs 3 & 4 is far from One Vision, but Freddy’s vocals are much better from Tie Your Mother Down, and while it is a soft sound image, you can fully enjoy it with excellent recording that seems to exceed Discs 1 & 2. 1986年「MAGIC TOUR」より、伝説のウェンブリー･スタジアム公演の４日後に行われた7月16日マンチェスター公演を２種の高音質オーディエンス録音と、優秀なオーディエンス撮影によるDVDをセットにしたハード･コレクター必携の５枚組が登場です。ディスク１＆２は、安定感抜群の優れた録音テイクで、適度な臨場感が終始、感動的に雰囲気を盛り上げます。殆どの歌を大合唱する観客も凄いですが、非常に良く通る声で大観衆を魅了するフレディのボーカルがクリアーに収録されていて聴き応え満点です。ディスク３＆４は、One Vision こそ音が遠い感じですが、Tie Your Mother Downからフレディのボーカルの通りがぐっと良くなり、ソフトな音像ながら、ディスク１＆２を上回るかと思われる優秀な録音でたっぷりと堪能することができます。ウェンブリー２日間という大舞台をやり遂げた余裕からか、メンバー全員、のびのびとプレイしている様子が伝わってきます。

前回の「Works Tour」とは打って変わって、どの公演も、ポジティブな魅力に溢れた1986年ツアーは、そのどれもがファン必聴・必携と言えますが、マンチェスター公演も力強いグルーブ感に満ち溢れた、実に高品質なライブを展開しています。演奏内容は安定しており、優良なパフォーマンスが楽しめますが、珍しい点としては、「In The Lap Of The Gods…Revisited」で、フレディは最初、かなり変わった歌い方をしています。「Who Wants To Live Forever」の前にはいつもの「クイーン解散を仄めかす奴らが、いるがそんな噂はクソだ。」とMC。「We Gonna Stay Together, thank you very much we are」と言う言葉には感動させられます。面白いのは、この直後で盛り上がった観客が、場所がらサッカーのテーマ曲を合唱し始め、曲の紹介のタイミングを見失ったフレディが「ピクニックじゃないんだぞ」（他のメンバーに）「どう始めたらいいんだ？」と言います。Hello Mary Lou では女性のゲストがコーラスで登場、ロジャーとマイクを共有しながら歌いますが、現時点においても、この女性が誰なのか不明だそうです。（映像では左端から登場し、歌う女性が確認できます。）音質が大変優れている上に、聴いていて、思わず参加してみたくなるほどの圧倒的臨場感、そしてイギリス公演ならではの雰囲気・熱気、そして大合唱ぶりが素晴らしく、ファンは間違いなく必聴の高品質音源です。

また、5枚目には、当日の公演を良好なオーディエンス･ショットにて約１時間半に渡って撮影したDVDRが付きます。センター中央後方からのショットで、A Kind Of Magic の途中でカットあるものの、安定した優れたカメラワークでショウの全体を捉えています。マスター･クオリティを確信させる鮮度抜群の画質と良好なサウンドで当日のスケールの大きな野外コンサートの様子を再現します。百聞は一見にしかずという諺通り、ウェンブリーとは全く違った雰囲気のマンチェスター公演の模様をリアルな映像と２種のオーディエンス録音で捉えた文字通り同公演の決定版の登場です。
