From the “A Day at the Races” tour, on June 6, 1977, London recorded the professional shot footage of Earl’s Court’s first day performance in the highest quality ever. The final and highest quality version that dismisses all existing titles! Finally, a master quality version that surpasses the existing ones in terms of image quality and sound quality is now available. The improvement in image quality is obvious to everyone, and the colors that were previously blurred are perfectly expressed, and the overall brightness of the light and colors is completely different. The light emission and the appearance of white and red are perfect for this board, and fans can say that it is the definitive edition desperate for replacement. There is no doubt that we are using a version digitized directly from the master, which makes it easy to see that all existing takes were analog degraded in all respects overall. In addition, the voice quality has been greatly improved. The sound that had a slightly flat impression is recorded as an upgraded sound just like the master, with sufficient sound spread and sound pressure. However, the problems such as the vocals and the whole sound being turned off for a moment and the screen becoming black and white for a moment are still the same as the previous ones, and it can be seen that there is no version that improves this part at the moment. New songs of the time such as Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, The Millionaire Waltz, You Take My Breath Away, Death On Two Legs played as a single piece instead of medley, early masterpiece Doing Alright, and white played continuously. The live arrangement of Man / The Prophet’s Song is also unique to this period, and everything is worth seeing and listening. In The Lap Of The Gods, which closes the main set, is also moving. Anyway, the definitive edition in the definitive edition full of overwhelming texture that convinces that there is no more. Enjoy with perfect image quality and sound quality! !!

★ This is a review summary of beatleg magazine vol.111 (October 2009 issue). For your reference.

It is a professional shot live video at Earl’s Court Arena on June 6, 1977, which is a classic among the classics. Boots of excellent quality such as “Definitive Earls Court (-)” and “Magnificent Court 1977 (DF-DVD-018)” featured in this magazine vol.89 have already been released, and this time as well, the image quality and sound quality are better than those. It is no exaggeration to say that it is exactly the same, and it is still the case that the image is distorted in front of “Stupid Cupid” and two places are missing. However, the deep meaning is hidden because it is re-released. Actually, the screens of the above two titles were not accurate in aspect ratio, and were slightly vertically long screens. It is obvious when you compare it with the official “Magic Years Volume Two” and “Rare Live” that are recorded in fragments, and you can see that this screen has the correct aspect ratio. Especially, it will be easier to understand if you compare it with “You Take My Breath Away”. So, the significance of this release is that the aspect ratio has been corrected.

Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy、The Millionaire Waltz、 You Take My Breath Away などの当時の新曲は勿論、メドレーではなく単体として演奏されるDeath On Two Legs、初期の名曲Doing Alright、さらに連続して演奏される In The Lap Of The Godsも感動的。

特に「You Take My Breath Away」で比べてみると分かりやすいだろう。
