今までもウクライナ・キエフでの初日公演や、アメリカの“iHeartradio Music Festival 2013”といったプロショットもありましたが、ついに母国イギリス公演。それも、国の象徴となるウェストミンスターでの年越しライヴ。特別の上にも特別が幾重にも重なったステージがバリッバリの完全無欠プロショットで観られるわけです。

そんなショウを牽引するのは、やはりアダム・ランバート。シャウトから細かいヴィブラートまで、あらゆる声を完璧にコントロールする巧さはすでにご存じのことと思いますが、そんな卓越した技術ですら“小道具のひとつ”にしてしまう濃いキャラクターはますます磨きがかかっている。どんな難フレーズを歌おうとギリギリさがなく、余裕たっぷりに１小節内でも声色を変える演技力を見せつける。それを表情やアクションも交えてパフォームするのですから……まったく、小憎らしくなるほどパーフェクトです。

決然とした「The Show Must Go On」の後、イベントはコンサートから年越しの花火に移りますが、本作ではそのパートは省略。続けてQUEENのライヴを楽しめます。2015年を迎えた後半部は、フレディの映像と共演する「Bohemian Rhapsody」から始まりますが、ここからは更なる特別感の連続です。最初のギターソロ（珍しく間違えずに上手く弾けてる！）が盛り上がったところで聞こえてくるのは……いつものAコードではなくCmのピアノコード。なんと、この部分、オペラパートがそっくり「Killer Queen」に差し替わっているのです！この意外なアレンジが実にしっくりとしていて、ワイングラス片手に再登場するアダムも、いかにもQUEENらしい。背筋をピンと伸ばした姿勢ひとつで「あぁ、本当に好きなんだね……」とため息が漏れるシーンです。
曲は「Bohemian Rhapsody」のロックパートへ戻っていきますが、ここでブライアン・メイがまさかの大トチリ（最初のロングソロはあんなに上手く弾けたのに・・・）。ちょっと微笑ましいレアシーンですね（笑）。この後、バグパイプをフィーチュアしたアレンジの「We Will Rock You」に突入。2014年はスコットランドの独立問題に揺れた英国ですが、あの住民投票からまだ３ヶ月あまり。これも、まるで国民の団結を誘うような感動的なバージョンです。さらにボーナス映像として2014年11月30日のテレビ番組『The X Factor』出演時 の「Somebody To Love」も追加収録しました。
