Queen showing booming movie Bohemian Rhapsody. A masterpiece original recording that recorded their latest show appeared. It was the Japanese recording person who recorded this work. It is one of the business which converted the original master directly transferred from himself / herself to the CD in the wandering record by a master who dominated the masterpiece domestically.
Such a Japanese master sucked in “London performance on July 4, 2018”. QUEEN + Adam finished Europe tour with Dublin the other day and is now about 2 months off. In the meaning of knowing such a situation, let’s first confirm the show from the whole world tour.

This is the whole picture of the tour which has been continuing since last year. In September, unprecedented Las Vegas 10 consecutive performances are waiting, but this work is the 14th performances of ‘European # 2’ which is the final stage of the main tour which precedes it. Queen’s hometown London has three consecutive performances (Wembley × 1 times + THE O 2 × 2 times), and it is the final day concert.
This work which inhaled such a show is really neat audience recording. Although it is the master of only this work which has not been circulated on the net, there is no doubt that it will be a topic even if it is made public on the net. The slightly dressed venue acoustics will make you feel the spectacle of London ‘s largest THE O2 arena, but there is no “distance” to say. The sound directs only “gloss” of the performance sound and “elongation” of the singing voice, the core is very on and detail is vivid. That’s supposed to be, the position the Japanese recordingist caught was ‘the first floor center 5th row’. As the stage is near, the PA’s output sound jumps straight and the echo feeling extends toward the back of the head. Such a three-dimensional feeling is even beautiful.
What’s more delicious is the enthusiasm unique to the convention. Of course, this work is not covered with screams. Only in the front seat, huge enthusiasm and encouragement are behind the recording man. It is a type that carries huge cheers from behind and the music itself is extremely beautiful no matter how exciting it is. With such a balance the waves of the great chorus of the home country which made it a kitchen up to one word of lyrics will rush.
Also, (Is it Japanese sensitivity?) Very neat tone is also tasty. As a matter of fact, the bass of power is likely to distort, but I stretch on the verge of it, the grain of the sound is fine and bright. When it comes to overseas recording, there are many types that compete as to how to approach the sound board, but this work does not dare to that ring. Because we are an audience, we are keen on how beautiful and powerful core is drawn while treating the feeling of the field spreading. It is a recording of the inscription sticking to “the beauty that is the only because it is an advertisement”.
The show drawn with such sound is brilliant and powerful show. In our shop we reported the latest tour with masterpiece “BERLIN 2018 (Uxbridge 854)”, but this set is the same as the set. Starting from “Tear It Up” since 1986 NBW that became Freddie’s last performance, we will continue delicious songs with “Seven Seas of Rhye”, “Tie Your Mother Down” and “Play the Game” one after another. “Lucy” co-starred with Brian May in the latest work of Adam “THE ORIGINAL HIGH”, “I’m In Love With My Car” sung by Roger Taylor, Tyler Warren, who was appointed on behalf of Rufus Taylor Tribute band QUEEN EXTRAVAGANZA drummer) and Roger’s drum and battle can also experience a real scene unique to the latest tour.

It was so wonderful that it will be nearly two years since my arrival in Japan in 2016. It may be impossible for you to visit Japan “TOUR 2017-2018” which changed your taste, but what if you realized what kind of live album … …. This work is a fine-grained Japanese recording that makes us actually listen to such “if”. Original sound of only this work that is just right to call stocks, please enjoy it to your heart’s content.

映画『ボヘミアン・ラプソディ』も盛り上がりをみせているQUEEN。彼らの最新ショウを収録した傑作オリジナル録音が登場です。本作を記録したのは日本の録音家。国内で傑作を連発している名手による渡英記録で、本人から直接譲られたオリジナル・マスターをダイレクトにCD化した業物の１本です。
そんな日本人マスターが吸い込んでいたのは「2018年７月４日ロンドン公演」。QUEEN＋アダムは先日ダブリン公演で欧州ツアーを終え、現在は約２ヶ月のオフに入ったところ。そんな近況を知る意味でも、まずはワールドツアー全容の中からショウを確認しておきましょう。

これが昨年から続いているツアーの全体像。９月には前代未聞のラスヴェガス10連続公演が控えておりますが、本作はそれに先立つツアー本編の最終盤となる「欧州#2」の14公演目。QUEENの故郷ロンドンでは３公演連続（ウェンブリー×１回＋THE O2×２回）となっており、その最終日にあたるコンサートです。
そんなショウを吸い込んだ本作は、実に端正なオーディエンス録音。ネットにも出回っていない本作だけのマスターなのですが、もしネット公開されたとしても話題になること間違いなし。ほんのりとまとった会場音響がロンドン最大級のTHE O2アリーナのスペクタクルを感じさせはしますが、だからと言って“遠さ”はない。音響は演奏音の“艶”や歌声の“伸び”だけを演出し、芯は非常にオンでディテールも鮮やかなのです。それもそのはず、日本人録音家が陣取ったポジションは「１階センター５列目」。ステージが間近なだけにＰＡの出力音が真っ直ぐに飛び込み、エコー感は頭の後ろの方へ伸びていく。そんな立体感が美しくすらあるのです。
さらに美味しいのは、大会ならではの熱狂。もちろん、本作は絶叫まみれのダメ録音ではありません。前方席だけに、巨大な熱狂・声援は録音家よりも後方。巨大な喝采を背後から背負い込むタイプであり、どれだけ盛り上がろうとも音楽そのものは極めて美しい。そんなバランスで歌詞の１語１語までキッチリとした母国ならではの大合唱の波が押し寄せるのです。
また（日本人の感性なのか）非常に端正な音色も味わい深い。実のところ、迫力の低音が歪みそうにもなるのですが、その寸前で踏ん張り、音の粒は細やかでブライト。海外録音というと、いかにサウンドボードに近づけるかを競うようなタイプが多いのですが、本作はその土俵にはあえて立たない。オーディエンスだからこその広がる現場感を大切にしつつ、いかに美しく力強い芯を描くかに腐心している。“客録だからこその美”にこだわった銘品録音なのです。
そんなサウンドで描かれるショウは、華麗にして力強いショウ。当店では傑作『BERLIN 2018（Uxbridge 854）』で最新ツアーをレポートしましたが、本作もセットは同じ。フレディのラスト・パフォーマンスとなった1986年ネブワース以来となる「Tear It Up」からスタートし、「Seven Seas of Rhye」「Tie Your Mother Down」「Play the Game」と美味しい曲を次々と繰り出していく。アダムの最新作『THE ORIGINAL HIGH』でブライアン・メイと共演した「Lucy」、ロジャー・テイラーが歌う「I’m In Love With My Car」、ルーファス・テイラーに代わって起用されたタイラー・ウォーレン（公式トリビュートバンドQUEEN EXTRAVAGANZAのドラマー）とロジャーのドラム・バトルといった最新ツアーならではの美味しいシーンもリアルに体験できるのです。

素晴らしかった2016年の来日公演からもうすぐ２年。趣向を変えた“TOUR 2017-2018”での来日は無理かも知れませんが、もし実現していたらどんなライヴアルバムを残してくれただろうか……。本作は、そんな“もし”を実際に聴かせてくれるきめ細やかな日本人録音。まさに銘品と呼ぶに相応しい本作だけのオリジナル・サウンド、どうぞ心ゆくまでお楽しみください。
