コンサートは何と「監獄ロック」で開幕する意表を突くオープニングであった。既にビッグ・ネームとなっていたバンドが、しかも数多あるヒット曲を差し置いてカバーで始めるとは驚く。そして2曲目は「ウィ・ウィル・ロック・ユー」なのだが、アレンジをがらりと変えてアップテンポで演奏されるというのが面白い。当時のファンは本当にびっくりしたのではないだろうか。そしてこの来日公演の特長としては、後半のインスト・ナンバーに時間が割かれている点であろう。前述のように『フラッシュ・ゴードン』のサントラを発表した直後ということもあり、ドラムソロやギターソロに続いて同アルバムからの曲をステージでも大々的に披露しているのである。インストとは言っても退屈とは無縁の素晴らしいもので、バンドのテクニシャンとしての側面をこれでもかと見せつけてくれる圧巻の演奏である。そしてコンサートの締めくくりは「ボヘミアン・ラプソディ」はもちろんのこと、最新ヒット曲「愛というの名の欲望」「地獄へ道ずれ」、そして今度はオリジナルに忠実な「ウィ・ウィル・ロック・ユー」と畳みかけるように誰もが知るナンバーが続く。そして「伝説のチャンピョン」で大団円を迎える。
