From Purple Rain to before the Sign of the Times, the illusory unreleased album Roadhouse Garden in The Revolution’s Golden Age. Although announced on Prince’s site on October 7, 1998, it was never released to the end. This is the release of a title that completely reproduces the Roadhouse Garden. The first song is Our Destiny, which has two vocals by Jill Jones and Lisa Coleman, but of course Lisa starts with the vocal version and continues to the album title song Roadhouse Garden. .. And the third song is Splash, The Revolution, which is said to be a song that Prince messaged to be gathered again, but there are also two types, and it is said that Prince additionally recorded for the album around 1998, NPG Music Club. I’m using the version of. And Empty Room is version 2 with a high degree of perfection, and at the end, all 9 songs that will be the finale with the unreleased song Go that urges the dissolution of The Revolution, saying that you should leave me with your heart broken. パープルレインからサイン・オブ・ザ・タイムズ前までの、ザ・レボリューション黄金時代における幻の未発表アルバムRoadhouse Garden。98年10月7日にプリンスのサイト上で告知されながらも結局最後までリリースされることはありませんでいた。今回そのRoadhouse Gardenを完全に再現したタイトルのリリースです。まず一曲目はOur Destiny、これはジル・ジョーンズとリサ・コールマン、二人のボーカルによるものが2種類がありますが、もちろんリサがボーカルのバージョンで始まり、そのままアルバム・タイトル曲Roadhouse Gardenへと続きます。そして3曲目はSplash、ザ・レボリューションよ再び集まれとプリンスがメッセージした歌だとされていますが、これも2種類あり、プリンスが98年頃にアルバムのためにアディショナル・レコーディングしたとされるNPG Music Clubのバージョンを使っています。そしてEmpty Roomは完成度の高いバージョン2、最後は、僕を傷心のままにして君は出て行ってくれ、とザ・レボリューションの解散を促す未発表曲Goでフィナーレとなる全9曲。曲間も流れをスムーズにするように編集してあり、とても完成度が高いです。そしてアウトテイクとして幾つかのこのアルバム収録曲の別バージョンも収録。レアなバッキングも異なるジル・ジョーンズがボーカルのOur DestinyはきっちりとRoadhouse Gardenに繋がる編集がされています。ジルの自信たっぷりのボーカルとリサのコーラスっぽさが残るボーカル、二人のプリンスのガールフレンドの歌い方の違いを確認できます。そしてSplashのオリジナル・バージョン、Empty Roomの85年の最初に作られたと思われるバージョン、音は良くないですがWonderful Assの別アレンジのロング・バージョンとそのエディット、そしてGoのニースでのザ・レボリューションでのリハーサル音源で終了します。幻のRoadhouse Gardenを徹底追及したマスト・タイトルです。
