今回のプレス盤の大元の音源パーツである、劇場用のフロント・スピーカーとリア・スピーカー用の4チャンネル音声をそれぞれ2枚のディスクに収録。1枚目にフロント・スピーカー、2枚目にリア・スピーカー用の音声を収録。プレス盤の解説本文でも触れましたが、4チャンネル方式のミックスがなされた35mmシネマスコープ・4トラック磁気サウンドトラックから抽出された本音源、ここではフロントとリアに分かれているだけあり、それぞれに特徴的なミックスとなっております。1枚目は、各楽器の音声が満遍なく聞こえる印象で、単体でも普通に聞けるオーソドックスなミックスに感じますが、2枚目が終始異様なミックスバランスで聞けるのが本ボーナスタイトルのポイントでしょう。2枚目は全体的にフロントスピーカーを補足するようなバランスなのか、かなりスカスカしたミックスであり、単体で聞くとかなりアンバランスな面白いミックスが確認できます。ドラムやベースは弱いのですが、ギターは大きめに収録されており、プレス盤本体で確認できたギターが縦横無尽に暴れ回る特徴的なミックスが、ここではさらに目立って聞こえ、ギターの鳴る箇所ではとにかく終始グルグルと左右を行ったり来たりを繰り返し、4チャンネルミックスの元ネタをこっそり覗いているような、ちょっと不思議な感覚に陥るかも知れません。もっとも、リピートして普段聞くのであれば、やはり本体プレス盤のように敢えてミックスされたものになるのであろうと言うのが正直なところですが、これら分離されたそれぞれのミックスが非常に興味深く、かつ資料性の高いアイテムであることに違いはありません。この方面に詳しい方であれば、これら2枚のDiscから「ポンペイ・マイ・オリジナル・ミックス」を作ってみるのも乙かも知れませんね。
