1970年7月18日ハイドパークでの屋外ライブを高音質モノラル・オーディエンス録音で約62分全曲収録。本公演に関しては今回リリースの驚愕映像のサウンドトラックを除き2種類流通しておりますが、それらは過去にもゴッドファザーレコードよりリリースされた程度で、意外にもリリースには恵まれておりませんでしたので、本公演の全貌を捉えた本音源は大変貴重な物と言えるでしょう。今回は2種類の音源を繋ぎ全長盤を再現しました。序盤のBlues(カットイン)/The EmbryoをRec1から収録し、残りのメインソースはRec2です。この2種の音源は互いに特徴的であ、Rec1はボーカルは大きめに捉えておりクリアーですが、バッキングがかなりオフで、低音域がかなりスカスカで風の吹く音も拾った若干ノイジーなサウンド。収録内容はBluesの途中から太陽賛歌まで。対する今回のメインソースとなったRec2はバッキングは結構大きめに捉えられており、特にRec1で全くと言っていいほど聞こえないスネアドラムや伸びのある低音域を捉えた好録音ですが、ボーカルがRec1に比べるとオフ気味です。収録内容はGreen Is The Colourからエンディングまで。どちらの音源もそれなりに上々であり、対極の特徴を持ち合わせた音源のため、どちらをメインソースに使用すべきかは、好みの分かれるところで悩ましいものがありました。ちなみに既発ゴッドファザー盤はRec1をメインにしているようですが(原子心母のみRec2)、今回は伸びのあるナチュラルな低域と各楽器を大きく捉えたサウンドが魅力のRec2をメインに据え編集しました。ステージからの距離もこのRec2の方がより至近距離と思えます。なおユージン途中でカットがりましたので、そこはRec1で補てんしています。また原子心母1:50付近でもカットがりましたが、そこのみそのままです。太陽賛歌演奏前では何故かハーモニカを吹く音が聞こえるのも謎です(他の出演アーチストでしょうか？)。原子心母ではアルバムやBBCでもお馴染みジョン・アルディスとその合唱団が参加しているのもポイントが高く、クライマックス部分はいつ聞いても良いものです。是非DVD本体と併せて聞いて欲しい注目アイテムです。
